If there is one thing people remember about the GameCube exclusive 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, it was that the game was tailor-made for Nintendo's crazy GBA Link Cable accessory. Built from the ground up for cooperative play, players each needed to have access to their own Game Boy Advance and link cable to even partake of the multiplayer options in the Final Fantasy spin-off. In the era be✤fore online play, it was a bit of a hassle.

We already knew that the upcoming Crystal Chronicles Remastered wo✱uඣld facilitate online play for up to four players, but a bizarre wrinkle has been added to the mixture. Regardless of platform, the uprezzed re-release of this beloved multiplayer RPG will not feature offline play of any kind.

The news came from the official Japanese Twitter account for Crystal Chronicles Remastered. Roughly translated, it reads, "For development reasons, it is necessary to select either offline or online, so we selected online multiplayer so thatꦺ mor❀e people can play." This was and is confirmed to be accurate.

This is somewhat expected for a system like the PS4, where the only choice for offline play wo♔uld be split-screen. Square Enix could have implemented a LAN option, but I can at least see the hurdꦯle there. On Switch, however, there's really no excuse. Each person is going to need to have a Switch system anyway, so why not offer ad-hoc play?

Mobile devices, too, are in a similar situation. Each person will have access to a separate phone to even play the game, so why not offer Bluetooth functionality? Maybe there is something to be said of the coronavirus imp🦄acting the decision here, but it seems incredibly short-sighted for what is primarily meant to be a multiplayer experience.

Square Enix may end up patching in an offline option in the future, but don't expect that to come in the immediate future. Crystal Chronicles Remastered is currently slated fo💧r an August 27 release and I wouldn't hold out hope that Square Enix will delay the game again. It certainly is a missed opportunity, but also not the end of the world.
