168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII was when the series really hit its stride in the West. From there, the series kept up with its Japanese counterparts between release dates and names. It’s important to remember that for Western fans, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy jumped from the third game on the Super Nintendo to the seventh🐻 on PS1.
It must have been confusing at the time. History aside, below are the rankings of every main entry and spin-off for the series on PS1. There are two exclusions i.e. Final Fantasy Anthology and Final Fantasy Chronicles since those were more or less ports and not incredibly memorable ones at that. However, a decent amount of Final Fantasy titles presided on the PlayStatiওon 1, those two🍸 titles aside.
7 ꦰ Chocobo No Fushigi Na Dungeon ♍
This is actually a Japan only game and the only one on this list. It is a spin-off of the Mystery Dungeon franchise which is a series of roguelike dungeon-crawler RPGs. As the name hints at, this stars the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:beloved Chocobo mascots from Final Fantasy. For the first edition of this franchise it’s a little r🔥ough, but still enjoyable.
6 🍌 Chocobo'♏s Dungeon 2
The West may have been snubbed for the first game, but it eventually got the sequel. 🅰It follows the same idea, but mechanically it is a better regarded game.
This sub-series of Mystery Dungeon is not the easiest of the bunch. That honor would go to the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games🐠. It’s a close second in terms of ease of use for those new to the roguelike genr☂e though.
5 🌊 ꧒ Chocobo Racing
A better use of the Chocobo license was for this racer. It not only uses cute versions of monsters and mascots from the Final Fantasy series, but it also features stars from the main games as well including Cloud from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII. Is it as good as Mario Kart 64? No. It isn’t even as good as Crash Team Racing. It’s a close third that fans of this franchis💖e wil💝l absolutely eat up.
4 Final Fantasy V🥂III
Moving out of the Chocobo territory, we now come to the first main entry, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VIII. It is seen as a black sheep of the family for myriad of reasons. While it still features classic gameplay and themes to the oth𓃲er games, the Draw system used for magic split the fan base.
It is the oddest entry since Final Fantasy II to be sure, but that also doesn’t mean it’s bad. The great thing about this franchise is its willingness to experiment and while Final Fantasy VIII didn’t hit every ♌fan, it sureಌ is memorable in a different way.
3 ▨ Final Fantasy IX
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy IX was like a swan song to both the PS1 hardware and the classic appeal of the original games. It went away from the more modern, high tech approach that Final Fantasy VI through Final Fantasy VIII app🍒roached an๊d instead went back to the more fantastical medieval setting.
Like Final Fantasy VIII before it, this didn’t strike a cord with every fan. To those that ൩grew accustomed to the techno punk aesthetic, it felt like a step backward. Die-hard fans that grew up with the series starting on the NES knew how tremendous it was to go back to this period once again. Will the series attempt this classic style again? Fans of this title would drool at the chance for a modern take with Final Fantasy XVI. The ball is in Square Enix's court.
2 🍃 Final Fantasy Tactics
A spinoff to the franchise is almost at a dead tie with the number one title. Like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy Tactics was a breath of fresh air for the series at the time. It was by no means the first strategy RPG in the West, but it was a game that seeming𒅌ly perfected the mold on what came before it.
The chess like design to the battles, the mature story, and the addicting class system all made this an instant classic. Plus it offered a challenge unlike anything that had come before it. When is this getting a remake, or proper seq🏅uel? Fans have been losing their voic💃es asking those questions for decades now.
1 Finꦗal Fantasy VII ꧙
It is hard to put into words just how momentous of a release 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII was at the time. It grew the brand’s popularity and🅠 outreaches to more fans than ever before. That alone does not make it number one on this list although it’s importance to video game hi😼story is a start. It will never be the number one title for every fan of the franchise out there.
Like any video game series, favorites have a lot to do with timing. History and feelings aside, it’s hard ওnot to argue that this should be number one on the very fact that its popularity helped spawn a movie, an anime adaptation, sequels, prequels, and this year’s remake. It is the king, at least, on PꦉS1.
