In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 9, your party members learn their abilities from the pieces of equipment that they are currently using. This includes the majority of the Eidolons that Dagger and Eiko can summon, usually contained within precious gemstones that you'll acquire over the course of the game.

Of these Eidolons, Ark is the strongest by far. This does mean, however, that it is the hardest Eidolon to acquire, requiring the equipment of a Pumice stone. There are a few ways to go about doing this, but you won't get a chance to do so until right at the end of the game.

How To Get Pumice

Fighting against Ozma in Final Fantasy 9

There are only two ways to get Pumice in the game. The first is by beating the super♏boss of the game, Ozma. This glowing ball of chaos is an incredibly difficult boss to take down and require🌞s a great deal of luck and potentially two entire sidequests complete before standing a chance. Upon defeat, Ozma has a chance (yes, only a chance) to drop a Pumice outright.

The second way to get a Pumice is to synthesize one. This requires two Pumice Pieces and 50,000 gil, and can only be completed at Hades' Synthesis Shop.

How To Access Hades' Synthesis Shop

The Hades secret boss fight in Final Fantasy 9

Hades is an optional boss that can be found in Memoria at the end of the game. In the room where Quina appears to swim in midair, you can walk into a small nook on the right of the screen and interact with a mysterious voice. Choose not to leave the area and you'll fight Hades.

Hades is a tough fight, so prepare accordingly:

  • He is weak against Holy, so bring Holy-elemental weapons and Eiko's Madeen spell.
  • Hades is classified as an Aerial and Demon enemy, so equip Bird Killer and Demon Killer on characters that can learn them to increase your damage output.
  • Hades can inflict a number of status ailments, so equip abilities that protect against the following:

Confuse

Poison

Slow

Mini

Darkness

Freeze

Heat

  • One of Hades' attacks will reduce a character's HP to 1, so it may be worth having Dagger or Eiko on hand at all times with a Curaga ready to go.
  • You can steal some pretty awesome loot from Hades, including a Reflect Ring, a pair of Running Shoes, some Battle Boots, and even a Robe of Lords.
  • Hades can use Doomsday a few turns after using Powering Sword. Doomsday deals Shadow elemental damage to everyone on the battlefield, so equip protective gear that makes you immune or absorbs it.
    • Egoist's Armlets, Demon's Mails, Ninja Gear, and Pumice Pieces are all options for eliminating the worry of Shadow damage.

Once you beat him, Hades will let you use his Synthesis Shop which has some of the most powerful equipment in the game available, including the Pumice. Synthesizing a Pumice requires two Pumice Pieces.

Where To Get Pumice Pieces

The boss fight against Ark in Final Fantasy 9

It is onl𒀰y possible to get up to three Pumice Pieces at any one time in the game.

  • You will get one Pumice Piece from beating Ark itself in Oelivert.
  • One Pumice Piece is found inside a Chocograph treasure. Namely, the Outer Island 2 Chocograph. This can be dug up at the Lagoon and requires a Gold Chocobo to find.
  • It is possible to steal a Pumice Piece from Ozma, though it is the rarest steal possible.

Once you have two Pumice Pieces, take them to Hades' Synthesis Shop and turn them into a full Pumice. Equip this to Dagger and you can start summoning Ark.
