These are the underrated characters. Whether it's an obscure party member 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:who has some game-breaking moves or a complex character who brings more to the story than you realise, Final Fantasy has plenty of them. Of course, with so many characters to choose from, it's impossible to list them all, but here are some of the Final Fantasy characters who deserve some more love.
Spoilers for several Final Fantasy games ahead!
8 🌠 ಞ General Leo
Once a fan-favo❀urite, General Leo served as an antagonist of Final Fantasy 6, who temporarily joined the party. Known for great stats and as one of the more multidimensional characters from the game, he even became the subject of a gaming urban legend that claimed he could join the party permanently after leaving the 💛first time.
However, as the years have gone by, many have forgotten about General Leo, who is a complex character with a strong sense of honour and chivalry, even when he's working against the party. Both a great addition to the party and the story, this character is one could use a little more appreciation once again.
7 Selphie
Selphie of Final Fantasy 8 is a classic kind of Final Fantasy character, the sweet girl who is always there to lift the spirits of the party and be the kind soul they need in dire situations. Though it's been done a dozen times before and probably a dozen times since, there's always something to like about these kinds of characters, and Selphie is no exception.
Though she may not get as much praise as some of the more popular female charact𓄧ers of the series, Selphie has a heartwarming friendship with protagonist Squall and proves to be a wholesome addition to the party.
6 Lightning
More overheated than underrated, Lightning made her debut in Final Fantasy 13 and a♛ppeared in two other titles, including her own game, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13. Although fans found her to be one⛎ of the less inspired characters of the series, Lightning excels when it comes to character development.
When we first meet Lightning, she comes across as closed off and stoic. She's a simple character who is motivated to protect her sister and develops to be more open with others and become more of her own person. It's because of this development that she definitely earns her way into our hearts as another great character who is too overlooked from bad first impressions.
5 Beatrix
Another general turned temporary party member, Beatrix of Final Fantasy 9 proves to be both a terrifying adversary and an interesting ally. Despite being fought numerous times in the story, it's still shocking just how powerful Beatrix is in both the lore and in gameplay.
She keeps players on the edge of their toes as a terrifying force wh🐎o lives up her to reputation as a fierce warrior. However, though she comes across as hard-headed and arrogant, she also displays a softer side which gives her a lot more character and makes her much moreও interesting than just another tough boss to fight.
4 Faris
Faris is an underrated character from an underrated game, Final Fantasy 5. A bold no-nonsense pirate captain, Faris shows real character development as she turns from a ruthless pirate to a lovable party member. Though don't be mistaken, her character arc doesn't mean she ever loses her edge, and on top of being one of the more stand-out characters of the story, she's also one of the most versatile gameplay-wise, thanks to her stat spread.
Despite being mostly forgotten like the game she comes from, 💛Faris is still a fantastic character that fans would really benefit from another look at.
3 Basch
One of the most tragic characters in the Final Fantasy seꦦries is Basch, a knight defined by his guilt and wisdom. From Final Fantasy 12, Basch is a soldier with an undying sense of loyalty and has well-written dialogue that encapsulates the wisdom from experience he wishes to instill onto the other characters. His backstory is also one of th🐲e saddest in the series, being a real tear-jerker which makes us feel even worse for him.
Unfortunately, Basch is just another victim of being a good character in a game that's a little too old to be given the proper attention he deserves.
2 Galuf
Another character from the criminally underrated Final Fantasy 5 is Galuf, one of the older party m🐼embers in the series and a beacon of mentorship and advice for the other characters. Galuf was a selfless and hope-filled warrior who played a significant part in the story without being too overbearing on the plot, despite being so heavily involved in it.
Though he could have overshadowed the party, some great wri🌠ting manages to make keep him as a decent character who has been quickly forgotten a little too soon for our liking.
1 Leon
Leon from the classic Final Fantasy 2 is one of the most underrated characters in the series. Known as the Emperor's Dark Knight, he spends most of the game being an antagonist unlike other villains-turned-party-members in the series who tend to side with the party sooner.
Though Leon's time with the other characters is short-lived, he has such an interesting dynamic with the party that it leaves enough of an impact for him to go down as a fantastic character and an early sign of the series' great writing.
