At E3 2021 there was no game that received more controversy and finger-pointing than 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantas🌳y Origin: Stranger Of Paradise. While there was plenty to laugh about between the game's over-the-top edgy voice acting and underwhelming looking gameplay, there were still many who were hopeful about this game's quality.

A partnership between Team Ninja and Square Enix sounds like a great idea on paper, and both have put out nothing but well-received titles for the last several years. A battle system that combines Nioh and Final Fantasy could be 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the series' best. Unfortunately, this game's story is as cheesy as the trailer would have you believe, but that's not a bad thing. Many lines of dialogue from this game are so egregious that they circle back around to being comedic masterpieces.

"My mission is to kill Chaos. That's all I know."

This is the line you're already more than familiar with if you've seen the trailer. The main protagonist, Jack Garland, seems solely fixated on Chaos. To the point where it's rare to hear a sentence come out of his mouth that doesn't contain that word. Within itself, there's nothing inherently wrong with the line. But when paired with the thousand other times in the game he says effectively the exact same thing, it enters hilariously overdone territory.

7 Poor Jed

"Hey, you might not like this, but you know I like to speak my mind—"

"Let's go."

You may be wondering what else Jack Garland is interested in besides Chaos. The answer is not much. To the point where if any of the other characters begin to trail off on something that's not Chaos-related, Jack just walks away mid-sentence. Jed probably had something very moving to say here. A grand revelation of some sort. What it actually was, we may never truly know.

6 🐻 A Tad Jejune

"I am darkness manifest. The sum of the world's fears. You stand before despair given form. You stand before Chaos!"

"Shut up."

Apparently, Jack isn't interested in talking to Chaos either. He spends the entire game searching for this primary antagonist, and the best he has for Chaos when he finds him is "Shut up".

Granted, Jack did always say that his primary motivation is to kill Chaos. Considering he's always been a man of few words, it follows that he'd just want to get to the punching here. But still, maybe a little more rapport between the main character and his main motivation would help clear some things up for the rest of us.

5 The Last Words Be꧃fore The Final Boss Fight

"You asked for it. Just don't flinch from what you see!"

Okay, so Jack does say a little more than just "Shut up" before the game's climactic boss fight between him and Chaos. But, it doesn't exactly have the intensity you might expect from a moment that's been built towards the entire game. Just don't flinch from what you see? Between that line and "Shut up" it kind of feels like Jack Garland is a 13-year-old in a Tapout shirt doing WWE moves on the school playground.

4 Surprisingly Not Edgy At Thi💮s Random Moment

"Screw you... Screw you all!"

The word "edgy" has been used frequently in describing this game's story and especially its main protagonist. And it is not trying to be PG-13 about it. There is plenty of blood and death, and Jack Garland is not afraid to use any of George Carlin's 7 words you can't say on TV. Except in this one highly-emotional moment after the game's final boss fight between Jack and Chaos. A "Screw you all" at this moment really doesn't hit with the emotional weight the writers were intending.

3 Jack I🦋s A Man Of Few Words

Tiamat-Cutscene-in-Stranger-of-Paradise---Final-Fantasy-Origin-1

"I'm a Dark elf, you see. And we Dark elves—"

"Just tell us about the crystals."

In many cutscenes, Jack Garland's lack of enthusiasm about the villain's intentions or monologues makes him pretty relatable to most gamers. Dark elves? Those don't have anything to do with Chaos.

At a certain point in the game, it's amazing that people around Jack keep trying to speak to him at all. Even if he doesn't walk away, interrupt you, or punch you, the odds of him actually paying attention to anything the characters say is slim.

2 You Can't Fire Me I Quit!

Jack walking away from Neon in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

"Agent Garland, you are hereby discharged. Lufenia thanks you for your service."

"You give Central a message of resignation for me."

At this point in the game, Jack has become Chaos and has completely flipped into an antagonist. Lufenia, understanding they're unable to control or stop him at this moment, cuts ties with him and leaves. Then Jack has the audacity to hand in his resignation after being fired. Oh, Jack Garland. You have such a strange inability to deliver a single line of dialogue that isn't unintentionally hilarious. The bad lines in this game are even 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:on par with Resident Evil 1.

1 🐽 🐷 Jack Skips The Cutscene

Stranger of Paradise Lich 3

"It will remain a dream. So long as I live. For I am—"

"I don't give a **** who you are!"

"I am LICH!"

This is the moment in the game where Jack Garland truly embodies all the impatient gamers out there. He doesn't even wait to hear who the guy he's about to fight is, he just takes the opportunity from the guy mid-monologue to try and thrash him. The moment is made even funnier when Lich finishes his sentence after 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the fight has basically 🌞al🍷ready started. He probably thought Jack was very rude for interrupti♏ng his grand sentiment.
