168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy: Unlimited was not the first screen adaptation for the franchise. It was certainly one of the more ambitious steps, though. Prio🥂r to this there were two films, but this was the first full-length, 25 episode season of a full-fledged anime.

It had a lot to live up to with the Final Fantasy branding, and in many ways it left fans confused. It wasn’t a bad effort by any stretch, but it certainly was a cliffhanger, having left behind a lot of dangling threads and unanswered questions. Letꦕ's dive into a few things you likely didn't know about this anime gem and check out some conc▨ept art behind it you've probably never seen.

10 ༒ DIDN'T KNOW: There Is A Season 2 (Sort Of)

Final Fantasy: Unlimited was planned as a 52 episode anime. However, due to the box office failure of The Spirits Within, Square decided to cut the episode order by half. This is why it ends on a cliffhanger and, in turn, feels rushed. Eventually, the story did continue via Final Fantasy: Unlimited After, which was part manga, part novel. The conclusion happened in its sequel, Final Fantasy: Unlimited After 2, which was a ꧙radio drama. Neither of🙈 these ever left Japan.

9 ౠ ♒ DIDN'T KNOW: There Were Other Novels

Besides those two things, there were other novels as well. Final Fantasy: Unlimited So no Kizuna was 🦋set sometime before episode twelve as sort of a side story for the group. Final Fantasy: Unlimited Before was a prequel novel about Kaze and Makenshi both encountering Chaos and witnessing the destruction of their worlds. And lastly, Final Fantasy: Unlimited After Spiral was a series of web novels that focused⛄ mostly on the twins and Makenshi.

8 𒉰 💃 DIDN'T KNOW: About The Games

Besides the novels, there were two spinoff games made. Unlike most of the previous entries, they are more like side adventures, or retellings of previous material. Final Fantasy: Unlimited with U was a cellphone RPG that featured more traditional gameplay from the series. Final Fantasy: Unlimited on PC Adventure - Labyrinth was an adventure game. Both games a🍨re hard to track down online, as is the case for the sequel novels.

7 𓆉 CONCEPT ART: The Wild West 🌺

Let's dive into some concept art to show what could have been. For example, Kaze was depicted as a blonde gunslinger🔜. The theme of the anime was seemingly more heavily influenced by many Western themes as wꩵell.

Kaze could have also been more talkative to the group, as he is shown in one drawing playing his guitar for🗹 them by the campꦜfire. Anything would have been better than the stoic prince given to fans in the original.

6 𒐪 DIDN'T KNOW: Kaze Was Basically The Anime Vincent ๊

Instead of the Western design, Kaze looks more like from Final Fantasy VII. His cape is black, not red like Vincent's, and Vincent didn’t have sunglasses. However, Vincent and Kaze do share a golden arm and a stoic attitude. This might be more of a case of gen🍌eral anime influences, but let's count it anyway.

5 DIDN'𓂃T KNOW: About The Summons

In the twenty-five episodes of the anime, only ten Summons were used by Kaze without repeats. Depending on 🅺how technical you'd like to be, Giga Phoenix could potentially be considered an eleventh, and the final summon at the end could potentially make for a twelfth.

In order of appearance, they are Phoenix, Typhon, Shiva, Ixion, Bismarck, Ifrit, Odin, Atomos, Titan, and Meteor Master. Of the ten, Meteor Master might be the most obscure as more fans might recognize it by another name, Tonberry. He was also a Summon, or Guardian Force, in Final Fantasy VIII.

4 CONCEPT ART: The Adventures Of Kaze An𝓰d Lisa

In other concept art pieces, the children are missing. It is unknown if this would have been the entirety of t🦩he show, or just🐓 a small section showcasing two people traveling through wastes, alone. Based on the designs one could assume this would have been Kaze and Lisa. The pictured wastes also look like ruined cities, which could imply that the anime was diving more into real-world stuff.

3 ൩ DIDN'T KNOW: About Possible Religious Influences ꦚ

Speaking of names, ever wonder why the Hayakawas, two Japanese scientists, have English names like Mary and Joe? This might be a reference to Mary and Joseph from the Bible, who helped bring Jesus into the world. Likewise, Mary and Joe didn’t birth the twins but instead found them in Wonderland. This could be a stretch, but Japan does love their religious references, with Neon Genesis Evangelion and Xenogears supporting the case nicely.

2 ꦿ DIDN'T KNOW: The Meaning Behind Unlimited ⛄

This is never explicitly stated in the anime, but there is a reason for the title Final Fantasy: Unlimited. Through the aforementioned seq𓆏uel content, it is revealed that Kaze and Makenshi belong to a race called Unlimited. They are kind of like Phoenixes in that they can be resurrected. This might be why Phoenix was Kaze’s first Summon shown in the anime, as a subtle sort of nod to that idea.

1 CONCEPT ART: Yu A♋nd Ai Not So Useless ꦫ

Here we have some concept art with the children aged up a bit. Not only that, but Yu is armed with a sword and Ai has a crossbow. Making these two characters actually do something rather than whine and hang back would have presumably given the show a more action-oriented slant, and it is safe to say that's something Final Fantasy fans may have sincerely appreciated.
