In the original version of Final Fantasy VII, AVALANCHE wasn’t much beyond a name. Sure, it jumpstarted what the group would eventually fight for, but the idea of calling themselves AVALANCHE after Midgar didn’t continue. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII Remake, on the other hand, did a great job of establishing the ot𓆉her members, like Jessie, with more back💃story.
On top of that, it also gave insight into the idea Barret’s group was just a faction of a bigger whole. So in honor of the remake righting some wrongs, here's a look at some of the funnier moments the group had through memes from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:senseless things to overt references. And of course, there will be spoilers.
10 AVALANCHE Will Remember That!
Remember Death Stranding, aka the video ♊game that predicted the future of 2020? In that game, social media likes were the new currency and when players received them, they would be signaled out just like in the meme.
A thumbs up went a long way in that game and while AVALANCHE’s constant jabs at Cloud aren’t worth a single Gil, they are funny.
9 A Whole New World...
Jessie💮 is hot for teacher, or in🌜 this case, hot for mercenary. She had a fascination with him in the original game, but it was fleeting at best since she was barely a character.
She plays it off as a flirtatious joke, but deep down inside it is obvious, as a performer, that she was singing “A Whole New World” from Aladdin on this bike ride.
8 Attack On Shinra
It’s hard not to put two and two together for this Attack on Titan reference🔥. The only thing that would make this nod feel more obvious is if they foughꦐt the WEAPONS from the original game.
After all, they are Titan-like in♓ size. Maybe in the sequel these grappling hooks can come back.
7 AVALANCHE…
Specimen h0512 did not look anything like Nemesis from Resident Evil 3 (both the original and𓂃 the remake). This version, however, with the way it looks and comes out, has some ve🅷ry Umbrella Corporation vibes to it.
The joke then is 🧜that instead of the Nemesis saying STARS, its target, this experiment would then be going after AVALANCHE. Shinra and Umbrell🌞a really have a lot in common!
6 Motorcycle Fu
The motorcycle stunts in this game make anything that came out in the Devil May Cry series look like kiddy stunts by comparison. It is over, over꧑ ♍the top, which makes it so fun to watch.
The reference here is from , wherein it made fun of the fifth series, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s, with the now iconic catchphrase “Card games on motorcycles.” As this bi🦂ke cꦿhase is a mini game, a “Cloud game” then makes sense in replacement, right?
5 Side Quests At The End Of The World
This comment and reaction can be made for any RPG o🍨r video game in general that comes with high stakes and way too many side quests to count.
Helping people out is a good thing, but when a clock is tickin🐓g down and reality itself could collapse at any moment, it is a bit hard to swallow that a hero - especially Cloud - would take time to save some cats over an actual main . By Barret’s reaction, even he knows better!
4 The World Is A Vampire
The first three p⛎anels are from the speech Barret preachesꦉ to Cloud in the Sector One elevator. The last line is actually, “I know you can.” So why replace it with a line from “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” from The Smashing Pumpkins?
Oddly ♐enough, for those that haven’t seen it, the for this game features a cover of it. That is a bit on th🍌e nose, but still funny in this meme’s context.
3 Final Fatality
Did anybody buy that Barret was going to die when Sephiroth stabbed him? Maybe fans could have believed it 🎐for a second, but literally ജless than a minute later, a Whisper is seen over his body healing. So much for that one!
If the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII Remake developers were going to go for a surprise, they should have at least waited longer. Anyway, “Fatality” of course comes from Mortal Kombat.
2 What’s In A Name?
Prior to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII Remake coming out, there were fan ﷽arguments online as to why Square Enix was splitting up the game into two parts. Even though the original was on three discs, it was still one complete adventure. Splitting it up then seemed liꦏke a way to get more money. And even with that knowledge, why then is the remake not called part one or something to that effect?
Well, if Square Enix explained why this had to be done, it would be a spoiler. Basically, the idea is that this first part is a remake of everything that happened in the original albeit tweaked at the last minute. The rest of the games from here on out, while they may🔜 feature familiar characters and locations, will be even more different. The final words seen in this game are, “The unknown journey will continue.” That is a pretty clear indication of what’s to come and an exciting prospect at that.
1 Biggs Lives - Say Whaaaaat?!
An actual surprising AVALANCHE member living on was Biggs, who's shown to be alive and well i🎃n the final cinematic of the remake. Not only that, but there are some gloves next to his bed which could indicate Jessie is alive as well. This is, of course, different from the original.
If Wedge and Biggs survive without Jessie, ooooh boy, there will be heck to pay Squa🐬re Enix. Don’t play with fans' hearts🦹 like that!
