We don't know about you, but in a world filled with sequels and remakes, there is one we have been looking forward to above all others: the remaster of Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix first revealed that the iconic game was being remade and remastered for the PlayStation 4 all the way back in 2015. However, since then, more news on the project has be🧜en scarce.
So scarce, in fact, that many of us just assumed that the project had been scrapped. Thankfully, that is not the case. Earlier this year, a trailer for the FFVII r𓃲emake dropped, giving us a first glimpse at just how breathtaking the game is going to look. It is certainly a marked improvement on how Cloud and co. looked on the PS1 during the l🌜ate 1990s.
The original FFVII was a PlayStation exclusive, and judging by what we know about the remake, history is set to repeat itself in that regard - or at least that's what we assumed until a recent listing by Gamestop Ireland. The store's site made the FFVII remake available for pre-order on Xbox One, according to . It's priced at €74.99 ($83.76).
Thus begins the argument as to what kind of accident this listing was. Could it have been🍌 Gamestop jumping the gun and listing something before it was officially announced? Or was it simply a misunderstanding listing it as a game that's available on Xbox One? If it's the latter, those who have pre-ordered it are probably going to be pretty annoyed. We know that we would be.
Whichever type of mistake it was, we likely won't have much longer to wait to get a definitive answer. Square Enix's E3 press conference will take place on June 10, during which we're sure it will be announced whether its FF7 remake is comi🌜ng to Xbox One or not. Other rumors include that a playable demo for the game will be released extremely soon and that the entire game will be available bef🐈ore the end of 2019.
