When a series gets big enough, it's only natural for it to expand into other media. In Heroes, you can gain access to memorable characters from various entries to assemble the perfect team, which you can use to complete missions and challenge other players. Aside from getting the strongest characters, you'll need to maintain and improve your team through leveling and power boosts. To do that, you'll need items like the Hero Feather.
What Are Hero Feathers?
As with most gacha games, Fire Emblem Heroes comes with a variety of collectibles. Each one is gained through different means and is used to purchase elements or upgrade your characters. Of all of them, the Hero Feather is both valuable and necessary for your characters to gain power. All characters have levels of Potential which are indicated by stars in their profile.
They start at one but can max out at five with a significant power boost for each one. Hero Feathers are used to Unlock Potential by adding on these stars. Keep in mind that each time you do this, your character level will reset to one. Also, maxing out a character's Potential is no small feat and will require a lot of Hero Feathers. To get any of your characters from one to five stars, you'll need over 22,220 of them.
How To Get Hero Feathers
Hero Feathers are quite important, and there are multiple ways to obtain them. You can earn quite a few by simply playing the game. By completing the Quests you receive, you'll earn rewards which can include Hero Feathers. As expected, the more difficult the Quest, the more Feathers you're likely to earn. You can also use the My Nintendo points you gain from Quests to buy them.
Then there are online events such as the Arena and Voting Gauntlets. In the former, your selected team of heroes fights against other players' teams in an attempt to move up the rankings. Depending on where you finish at the end of the week, you'll earn Hero Feathers. The latter is similar to gambling in that eight heroes will fight each other in a tournament. You choose which of them to support during the Gauntlet, and you'll receive Feathers based on how well they do.
Other Methods
A more passive way to earn Hero Feathers is from Daily Logins rewards. Specifically, you can earn some by logging in on Mondays and Thursdays. You can also keep an eye out for big developer and holiday events that take place. Participating in these can net you a fair amount of Feathers as long as they're active.
Then there's Hero Merit which are points that your characters can earn at the end of a battle. Starting at 500, for each 500 more points earned going forward, you'll be rewarded 500 Hero Feathers. Lastly, you can remove characters permanently by using the Send Home option. Based on their level and Potential, you'll receive a certain number of Feathers. A one-star character is worth five Hero Feathers while a five-star character is worth 1,000.
