Conversations tend to be dominated by the likes of Lysithea, ꦜfrequently cited as one of the most popular and 🧸devastatingly powerful mages in the game. Next to her, the Academy’s Manuela doesn’t get a lot of spotlight, but she’s a fascinating character in her own right. Here are some 🍸details about her you may not have known.

10 She𝄹’s Very Handy With A Sword

At first glance, Manuela lಌooks like solid healer material. Her matronly appearance, her leanings toward the Priest line… it all seems to fit. Surꦏprisingly, though, her highest natural skill is with swords.

She’s not exactly going to be waving the Sword of the Creator around and smiting all comers like Byleth, but her natural talent here makes her quite a versatile party member. We’ll see a little more of what her sword-wielding abilities bring to the table soon, but b🦂efore that, we’ve got to appreciate the other strength that makes Manuela who she is: Faith.

9 Her Faith Leanings Are… Hit And M🐻iss

As fans will know, magic in the Fire Emblem franchise tends to be split into 🐻categories. Faith is white magic, if you will, focusing on healing and support. Reason, meanwhile, revolves around spells that deal damage or otherwise debilitate enemies (as does dar💛k magic, which is rarer).

In terms of her raw natural stats alone, Faith is Manuela’s 🀅second-highest. While she can function as a healer as a result, it’s usually important not to rely on her to perform the role alone. She struggles as Priest/Bishop, with low magical defense which is unusual for such characters. Her available spell pool both helps and hinders her in this regard, as we’ll see.

8 She’s A Real Speedster And Makes A Formidable Assassi🧜n𓄧

As we’ve mentioned, Manuela has a surprising proficiency with swords. If you’ve recruited her, you can’t have missed this fact. Something you definitely might hav🦄e missed, though, is just ho🍰w deadly she can be with a blade.

In Dimitri’s The Silver Maiden Paralogue, Manuela will appear as an enemy if she was recruited. Her class? Assassin. It’s a heck of a thing to see in action, but her speedy nature 🍃and swordplay fit quite well in this role, unnatural as it may seem.

7 ♓ She’d Suit A Certain New DLC Class Very Well

If built in the right way, Manuela can absolutely serve as a healer. She’s outclassed somewhat in the role, but Three Houses prides itself on offering players options. Any unit can serve any function you like in battle, really, as long as you aren’t toughꦑing it out on some of the higher difficulty settings. Being sub-optimal there can be lethal.

Following on from her surprising aptitude with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Assassin class, though, she c๊an also fit very well into the newly-added Trickster role. It requires strengths in both Faith and Sword, allowing Manuela to thrive by utilizing her speed and avoiding enemy attacks. Give it a try if you’re not sure how to use her, you might be surprised.

6 Her Personal Ability Can Be A Real Li❀fesaver… Occasionally 🐬

On top of the abilities units can earn from leveling certain traits or mastering particular classes, they also each have their own Personal Ability. This is un🍌ique to each c𓆉haracter, tending to have a subtle but crucial link to who they are and how they act.

Manuela’s Personal Ability, aౠs befits her matronly nature, is Infirmary Master. It affords all adjacent friendly units +10 Critical Avoid, which is far from game-breaking but can provide the slight edge players need to find their way out of a situation that’s gone awry.

5 She Offers More Utility Than She Does Raw Power 🌺

There’s no denying that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:support-based characters are often underappreciated. In a lot of games, players become so dedicated to all things DPS that they forget who’s out there on thankless 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mercy-from-Overwatch duty enabling ꦉall that damage in the first place.

In Fire Emblem, too, utility roles are crucial yet completely underrated. Manuela may not be a magical powerhouse, but as the points out, she has access to some rare and super useful tools: Silence, Ward and Warp. If you’ve found Manuela underwhelming in the past,💜 perhaps she can prove her worth by shutting down enemy mages, patching up her friends’ magical defenses and teleporting allies around the battlefield in a trice? 🦋Pair her up with teammates who can capitalize on these things and you’ll be golden.

4 💮 She Can Eventually Marry Hanneman 🔯

For the major characters of Three Houses, many different endings are available. Thei✨r pathꦺs depend on the player’s route through the game, decisions they make and so on. Where Manuela is concerned, one surprising ending sees her marry Hanneman.

Throughout the story, the pair find themselves at loggerheads over the slightest issues, but there must have been some lingering feelings there. The Crimson Flower Manuela/Hanneman ending is slightly different, but both result in a lavish ceremony attended by the couple’s students, a renewed vigor for teaching and a happy ever after… as far as such a thing is possible with Three Houses.

3 She Can A🔥lso Return To Her Glory Days At The Opera With Dorothe𝄹a

Continuing the theme of wonderfully positive endings for Manuela (thi🌸s sort of thing makes a nice change from having to face off against previously beloved u♔nits in battle and killing them), another route she can take is a return to the Mittelfrank Opera Company. Not only that, but she’s joined by her protégé Dorothea.

Together, the two talented women revitalized interest in the opera and it reached new heights of success. In this ending, they contributed to the recovery of Fódlan after war ravaged the land, before stepping back and enjoying a peaceful and happy life together. When did Three Houses suddenly get so feelgood?

2 She’s One Of Very Few Uܫnits Able To Learn A Special Spell

As we’ve already pointed out, Manuela isn’t exactly a top tier source of magical damage. Her true strengths lie in her speed, sneakily avoiding damage and helping the heavy-hitters on her team to dish out the pain. H🏅owever, she does have a bit of a secret weapon when it comes to Reason: the Bolting spell.

Bolting is available to a total of three playable characters: the Ashen Wolves’ Constance, Hilda of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Golden Deer house and Manuela h꧟erself. It’s a thunder-based spell with excellent range, meaning that there’s some merit to taking the Reason route with Manuela. She has a weakness in this area, though, so it’s not easy to get the best 🎃from Bolting with her.

1 𒈔 She’s A Surprisingly Deep Character

It would be very easy for new players to get the wrong impression of Manuela. After all, she doesn’t reaﷺlly endear herself to Byleth at first, seeming a bit one dღimensional with her tales of romantic misfortune, clumsy, messy ways and drinking habit.

As with just about everybody in the game, though, there’s far more to her than meets the eye. Her Support conversations are super touching with a range of characters, particularly Byleth. Manuela soon tells our protagonist that she’s grown to really trust them, and to see her open up in this way (as with Bernadetta) is a testament to the game’s playful yet impactful writing. Lorenz and Manuela inspire each other to write and sing, while she and Hanneman try to find ways to work harmoniously with each other. It’s just wa🦄ll-to-wall feels where Manuela’s concerned.
