In many games, particularly role-playing games, few things are more important than an iconic weapon. From Cloud's Buster Sword to Geralt's dual blades, weapons are often a part of what mak💫es a character just purely cool. This goes beyond practicality; the Squall's Gunblade, for instance, is a terrible weapon for practical use, but is cool as heck. A good weapon has a mix of practical use and a cool aesthetic.
That in mind, one of the underrated components of Fire Emblem: Three Houses are the💛 absolutely stellar Heroes' Relics. Thes💯e ancient weapons all have a consistent theme and style, deep lore, and overwhelming power too boot. Granted, some of the Heroes' Relics aren't weapons, like the Aegis Shield or the Rafail Gem. This list will document the Heroes' Relic weapons from lamest to coolest, based on both aesthetic and practical use.
10 Thyrsus
The Thyrsus actually technically isn't a weapon either, but for the purposes of this article, it will be considered one. In terms of design, it isn't so bad. The staff has several spikes adorning its round head with an gem in the center. Its namesake is that of an ancient Greek staff that represented prosperity, fertility, and hedonism. Despite that cool bit of lore, the staff itself actually had an appearance before Three Houses. Unfortunately, that appearance was in Tokyo Mirage Sessions#FE. That game is fine on its own, in a vacuum and disconnected from the main series, but the Thyrsus definite🧜ly becomes lamer as a result.
9 Lúin
The Lúin is a lance-type weapon wielded by those who bear the Crest of Daphnel. Its name stems from Irish folklore, like another familar Fire Emblem weapon, the Gáe Bolg. In terms of pure aesthetics, the Lúin isn't particularly that exciting. It's blade-esque appearance separates it from other lances in the game, but it's not that interesting otherwise. The biggest downside is that the weapon is supposed to be wielded by Ingrid of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Blue Lions. Ingrid has her fans, of courseꦆ, but she's not the most interesting character. It's far from the strongest of Relics, and definitely f🧔ar from the coolest.
8 Freikugel
The Freikugel is an axe-type weapon wielded by those who bear the Crest of Goneril. Its name is said to stem from a German opera revolving around the forging of a weapon called the Freikugeln. However, consid༺ering the Freikugeln is a weapon used by a sharpshooter and is not an axe, the🧜 inspiration seems misplaced.
The weapon itself is pretty cool, with the blade of the axe looking a bit like a triceratops frill. It's also wielded by Hilda, one of the best characters from the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Golden Deer house. However, the other Heroes' Relics all have more unique designs꧑ than this one just being♈ an axe, so it's lower on the list.
7 Areadbhar
The Areadbhar is a lance-type weapon wielded by those with the Crest of Blaiddyd. It also has its roots in Irish folklore along with the Lúin. Its name is translated as "Slaughterer." What weapon would be more perfect for Dmitri, The Boar Prince? Its design sets it far apart from other lances in the game, and a unique curve that's vaguely reminiscent of a tusk. The weapon is absurdly power🌄ful and, although its design isn't the coolest, it definitely has plenty of cool baked into it. When it's separated from its wielder, though, it's far from the coolest of weapons.
6 ﷽ ⛦ The Lance of Ruin
The Lance of Ruin is a, well, lance-type weapon wielded by those with the Crest of Gautier. Its name is pretty self-explanatory: it is a lance that does, in fact, ruin things. Lame name aside, the Lance of Ruin plays an important narrative role in showing the Monastery's students the horrific power of the Relic weapons. If the player has recruited Sylvain, this weapon provides a sizable early power-spike for the young cavalier. It's design is far from practical, with side spikes that make the w🍨eapon look horribly unbalanced, but the spikes do make it cooler. It may have a boring name, but The Lance of Ruin still has plenty of cool to go around.
5 Crusher
On the opposite end of the name spectrum is the Crusher, an axe-type weapon. This weapon is wielded by those with the Crest of Dominic. The Crusher is a hammer that does exactly what it says on the tin: crushes. It's one of a few weapons that deals magic-based damage without needing to be a mage. Unfortunately, this weapon can only be wielded by someone who already specializes in magic: Annette. Now, Annette is one of the best characters in the game, but she hardly makes use of the Crusher even when she has it. While that certainly hurts the cool-factor, the weapon's design more than makes up for it. The weapon alone likely strikes f𒀰ear into 💞the hearts of brigands.
4 Blutgang
The Blutgang is a sword-type weapon that is wielded by those with the Crest of Maurice. Spoiler alert: that means Marianne. T🌳he lore behind the weapon in-game is one of the more interesting of the Heroes' Relics. The sword belonged to a long-forgotten hero, one that never died. Maurice was cursed to be a beast with unending fury.
Once he is defeated, Marianne is able to wield his sword, the Blutgang. This weapon is fantastic aesthetically: a true curved sword. It's easily one of the coolest weapons, but stil✤l not the coolest overall.
3 🌃 Failnaught
The Failnaught is a bow-type weapon wielded by those with the Crest of Riegan. Its name stems from a bow of Arthurian legend with the same name. The bow already has a cool design, with the gem placed in a spot that almost makes it look like a scope. Despite its ancient design, it could almost be mechanical as well. There is one big question: is the Failnaught cool on its own merits, or because it's wielded by Claude? Claude certainly enhances the weapon with his presence, but on its own the Failnaught is plenty cool. It's a near-perfect combination of all cool fac♋tors.
2 🎉 Sword of the Creator ⛎
That's right, the sword wieldeꦍd by Byleth is right near the top of the mountain of cool. The Sword of the Creator has plenty of great lore surrounding it; it's an integral part of Byleth as a character. The simplicity of its name gives it a mysterious and intimidating aura. On top of all of that, it's a sword that doubles as a whip. Swords that turn into other weap🍒ons are some of the coolest types of weapons. It's magical, mechanical, and powerful in many ways. The Sword of the Creator is just an incredibly cool weapon.
1 🍌 The Thunderbrand
The Thunderbrand is the ultimate package of cool. The weapon is a relic of House Charon and is wielded by Thunder 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Catherine, one of the coolest characters in Three Houses. Lysithea can also wield it, whicꦕh is both funny and effective. In combat, the Thunderbrand is unrivaled with its double-hit ability. Its design is a reference to the Seven-Branched Sword, which is the coolest symbol of peaceful relations. And its name is simple, but impactful. The Thunderbrand is a name that makes brigands shake in fear just hearing it. As a sword that shoots lightning at people, its coolness is completely unmatched.
