Paralogues were first introduced to the series as Gaiden Chapters in the SNES title, Fire Emblem: Thracia 776. Awakening was the first game in the series to use to Paralogue moniker, and it’s stuck since then. Paralogues serve as an important part of Three Houses’ expe𝄹rience. Not only are they a good way to level up, but they offer the player a chance to collect rare Heroic Reliꦕcs and deepen the bonds of characters.

While some of these are fairly useful to players, others are just tediou♛s and don’t yield the same quality of rewards that the stronger Paralogues offer. These are the 5 most useful Paralogues in the game, and 5 that we just couldn’t get through.

10 Usef๊ul: An Ocean View

An Ocean View is Seteth and Flayn's Paralogue. It is available following Chap🧸ter 8 and takes place at the Rhodos Coast – a map players don’t get to visit very o♏ften.

The mission𒁏 is fairly straightforward and doesn’t provide players with all that much of a challenge. This makes it even more worth your🎃 efforts, as completion of the Paralogue will then give you the Spear of Assal and the Caduceus Staff. Two good weapons players will find use for throughout the game.

9 Couldn’🧸t Get Through: Death Toll🐻

Death Toll is Ig🧜natz and Raphael’s Paralogue, and is accessible after Chapter 7. The mission is pretty straightforward; you have to defeat enemies while protecting as many merchants as you can.

These kinds of battles can get 𓆉annoꦍying, so a good reward can be a great incentive. Sadly, you don’t get much for your efforts even if you do manage to save everyone. It’s one of those Paralogue’s you forget about.

8 Useful: War for the Weak 🌺

War of the We🦹ak is Dedue’s Paralogue and is made available to you after the completion of Chapter 5. It is only ava♒ilable on the Azure Moon route, and like Death Toll involves protecting allied units.

Though the initial reward for this Paralo꧒gue isn’t great, it pays off later in 🦋the game. Completing War of The Weak will make Dedue available for the War Phase in Azure Moon. So missing this can prove to be detrimental.

7 ൲ Couldn’t Get Through: Oil and Wate♋r

Oi✃l and water Manuela and Hanneman's Paralogue and involves protecting Manuela from enemy units. It’s a straightforward and easy one to get done, but there’s no urgencไy in doing it if you feel you can better spend your time.

Completing this will give somewhat better rewards than other Paralogue’s you could avoid –💖 the Rapier as a dropped item and the Experience Gem – but all in all it’s not worth the hassle.

6 Usef✃ul: Eternal Gu⛦ardian

Eternal Guardian is Rhea's Paralogue, and takes place within the Holy Tomb. It is available after the💝 time-skip and can be accessed in all routes save for Crimson Flower.

It can be somewhat challenging to deal with, but it’s definitely within most players’ reach. Completing it will give you the Seiros Shield, which halves ꧅damage from monsters while restoring some HP every turn.

5 🍌 Couldn’t Get Through: Insurmountable

Insurmountable is Edelgard's Paralogue, and is only available following the completion of Chapter 14. While it’s a fu꧅n one to playthrough, there’s not much reason to do it.

Insurmountable doesn’t offer the player any notable rewards following its completion. So it’s only really worth it if you’re a fan of Edelgard and you want some 🦩more content with her.

4 ꧑ Useful: Rumored Nuptials

Rumored Nuptuals is Ingrid and Dorothea's Paralogue and is only available after you coꩲmplete Chapter 6. You don’t have to have both characters in your party In order to have it available to you, but it would be good to recruit Ingrid as her reward is what you’re after here.

Though Ailell can be annoying to navigate through wit💙h its pools of lava scattered throughout, the reward is worth it. Completing this will give Ingrid Luin, which is one of the best lances in the game.

3 Couldn’t Get Through: Tales of the Red Canyon 🅘 ꧑

Tales of the Red Canyon is Sothis's Paralogue and is available following chapter 7.♓ It can be a tricky Paralogue to 🌳navigate and the reward just isn’t worth the effort.

The player and their party will have to defeat a number of monsters in order to get out of the aforementioned Red Canyon. With a lone Umbral Steel as 🔯the only reward, this Paralogue isn’t the best way to spend your time and resources.

2 Useful: The Forgotten ജ

The Forgotten is Sylvain's Paralogue and is available starting f꧒rom Chapter 7 onwards. It’s definitely worth doing as it gives you a great Heroic Relic as a reward.

Aside from a handful of useful weapons and some gold, The Forgotten gives player’s access to the Lance of Ruin. It’s a force to be reckoned with an𝄹d will be of use to you throughout the rest of t🔴he game.

1 Couldn’t Get Through🍸: Forgotten Hero

Forgotten Hero is Marianne's Paralogue and is a🐠vailable during the second half of Chapter 14. Though completing it will♏ give you a heroic relic, it’s a tough one to deal with.

The player is spawned fairly far away from Marianne, who is isolated and surrounded by a bunch of powerful monsters. Her falling means game over so make sure she’s at a high enough level before starting this one. Even then, tread carefully as the map is covered in fog and enemies l🐻urking within it.
