Josh Hutcherson, who plays lead security guard Mike Schmidt, has confirmed that a sequel is in the w𒁏orks.
"I know they're in the process right now of nailing down the story," Hutcherson told . "They want to get going as soon as possible. Obviously, the fans are amazing and die-hard. For me to be a part of it was so cool and phenomenal.
I'm dying to get back on set.
"We hoped it would connect with audiences. But I don't think that anybody, even on our side of things, expected it to really connect the way that it did. I'm dying to get back on set."

William Afton, played by Matthew Lillard, is a serial killer who wore a Yellow Rabbit suit while murdering children. Those same children then possessed the animatronics at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where beyond death Afton controlled them, using them to carry out further killing sprees. However, at 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the end of the movie, th🌜ey break free and trigger the spring lock mechanism in Yellow Rabbit, crushing Afton inside of the suit in a twisted display of irony.
It might seem like the end of his story, but he yells that he will "always come back", hinting at his return in the sequel. As in the games, we may see him possess Yellow Rabbit and continue his antics from beyond the grave. It's unclear if this is the direction that Five Nights at Freddy's 2 will take, but it's certainly one possible avenue.
Another potential villain that may have been teased in the first movie is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Shadow Freddy. They debuted in the second game as an Easter Egg before stepping up as a secondary villain in the♌ third. The first movie shows Freddy killing someone by focusing on his shadow, so fans think Blumhouse is teasing Shadow Freddy for the sequel.
It may be that, like in the games, they briefly appear in FNAF 2 before playing a larger role in the third outing. Time will tell. At any rate, Five Nights at Freddy's isn't done with Hollywood just yet.
