Who Is Golden Freddy?
From the outset, Golden Freddy is portrayed as the secondary minor antagonist in the movie and is essentially a golden variant of the normꦆal brown-colored Freddy Fazbear animatronic🐓 puppet.
It’s seen better days as it’s a bit battered and missing an ear and eye, which only serves to make it stand out more from the other Animatronics and look pretty unsettling. Especially in scenes where it's barely lit and is menacingly watching from afar.
He's the most mysterious of the group and, whilst under the control of William Afton, he murdered several people over the years and seems to be the ringleader of the group of children's souls seen in the dream world whenever Mℱike falls asleep.
This is mainly because he's the only one who talks to Mike directly and tries to make deals or offers for something in return. In his human form, Golden Freddy resembles a young boy with medium-length blonde hair wearing a striped shirt and denim trousers.
There is also a normal brown Freddy Fazbear animatronic, but this is a separate character and actsౠ the same way as the other Animatronics at the behe꧙st of the Golden Freddy.

Golden Freddy In The FNAF Movie
The Golden Freddy shown in the movie is one of the children who were murdered by Willian Afton years ago in the origina🃏l Pizza Place before it all was shut down.
His puppet form is barely in the movie and only makes an appearance towards the end when he abducts Mikes's sister Abby in an attempt to turn her into an Animatronic.
Though he’s not the true villain of the movie, with that spot reserved꧂ for the reappearance of William Afton, Golden Freddy is still quite devious.
He’s portrayed as quite the manipulator in his human form in the dream worl🧸d, never giving any information for free and always demanding something in return.
In the case of his interactions with Mike, it was that his sister Abby had to join the other children forever. Or. when he tricked Max into following him into the Fazbear suit, only ❀for her to get bitt𓆏en in half.
He also manifested as a child to Abby to convince her to come with him.

He handles rejection poorly and has a lot of anger, as shown when he flies into a rage and abducts Abby after Mike first agrees and then refuses Golden Freddy’s offer.
When Afton becomes a broken animatronic suit locked in a backroom, it’s Golden𝓡 Freddy in human form who coldly watches him at first before closing the door on the sad wretch as the movie ends.
It's also implied that he murders Abby's Aunt, but it's never shown. She's seen dead as Golden Freddy sinisterly appears in her home to abduct Abby as he tells her she fell asleep and that it's time to "go play".
The Aunt's murder is also never addressed by anyone in the movie; it just happens and the plot moves on.
It’s possible that Golden Freddy may return in a future movie because even though the restaurant collapses internally, it seems to be okay in parts. Plus, he's in a few of the FNAF games.
The last we see of the Golden Bear is him standing outside the restaurant as Abby enters; we see her turn around, and he's just gone.
Golden Freddy In The FNAF Game
The appearance of Golden Freddy and the gruesome end for Afton are references to the third Five Nights at Freddy’s game as Afton has a similar fate. Cornered by the ghost children he killed, Afton is then brutally mutilated inside a spring-lock suit that snaps shut and turns him into a humaꦡn jam sandwich.
In the Five Nights at Freddy's Games, the Golden Freddy costume is possessed by a young girl named Cassidy and has appeared in FNAF 2, 3, the Speci♓al Delওivery AR Game, and Custom Night.
It is possible to bypass encountering Golden Freddy altogether in Five Nights at Freddy's 3 where he only appears when you stare at his poster for a while.
In the novelization Silver Eyes, Golden Freddy is controlled by a young boy called Michael and appears as an 🍬antagonist who lures children into the backroom. So his origins have been tweaked quite a bit across the different versions of lore over the years.
In general, Golden Freddy is shown as quite a vengeful puppet filled with a lot of hate for William Afton, and rightly so — he did doom the kids to t꧑heir per✃petual metal prisons.
