Not only is it the biggest opening weekend for a live-action video game movie, but it's also Blumhouse's biggest opening of all time, and the biggest opening for a horror movie this year, beating out Evil Dead Rise, Scream 6, and M3GAN.

Despite Five Nights at Freddy's already being available in the US on the Peacock streaming service, it made $78 million domestically. Internationally, it made $52 million, culminating in the $130 million opening.

While FNAF made back its $25 million budget and released to a huge opening weekend, the film has not gone down well with critics. It has a measly 26 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, landing it th🐟e "Certified Rotten" badge.

While the movie is a resounding success, things have been messier at the screenings themselves. Videos surfaced of fans steali♚ng posters, cutouts, 🌟and merchandise from cinemas. Some even featured security guards chasing after fans and stopping them at the door before they 🍬got away.

There was also a viral clip of fans 'fighting' at a FNAF screening in London (as reported by ). However, it turned out to be fake.
