During Summer Games Fest, the 1992 scieಞnce fiction plꦍatform title Flashback made a return with an announcement that "30 years later" it is coming back. Yes, the sequel is finally coming.
Flashback 2 will be available for modern console platforms an൲d Steam for PC, and it is set for winter this year.
The first game was made by Delphine Software and U.S. Gold and created a fanbase for its cinematic science ficꦑtion and platforming gameplay. Flashback 2 is being developed by veteran French Studio Microids, makers of the Syberia series. You can check out the trailer for✅ Flashback 2 below:
In announcing the game during Summer Games Fest host Geoff Keighley was pretty enthusiastic about it, and briefly reminisced about playing the first Flashback when he was grow༺ing up.
Apparently Flashback 2 was first mentioned last year, but it seems to have passed many people by. It isn't the first sequel to Flashback either as that would be 1995's Fade To Black. Meanwhile, this upcoming 2022 game looks to be using 2.5D in some parts. Hey, don't ever let them tell you that technology doesn't advance.
Flashback 2 is out this winter on PS4 and PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam for PC. It could very well turn out to be one of those sle꧟eper hits.
