Playground Games has removed the Carlton and Floss dance moves from Forza Horizon 4 amid the lawsuits being brought against Fortnite.

Even if you don't play Fortnite, and have never played it even once, it is highly unlikely that you haven't heard of it. That's because, in the space of around 18 months, Fortnite has overthrown the video game world and started to infiltrate the real one. One of the main ways in whi🐲ch it has done that is via its emotes.

Emotes are gestures that players can use in-game, and most of them take the form of short dance moves. However, during the past couple of months, Fortnite's developers Epic have run into a few problems when it comes to some of those dances. Pretty much all of the dance moves you can perform on Fortnite are𒆙 insp💯ired by real-life dances and some of those claiming to have invented the moves want credit.

In fact, no fewer than four people have come out of the woodwork and are currently taking legal action against Fortnite. Alfonso Ribiero for the use of the "Carlton" dance, Backpack Kid who claims to have invented the Floss, rapper 2 Milly for the Milly Rock dance, and most recently Orange Shirt Kid's mom for Orange Justice. This week, highlighted that Fortnite isn't the only game being affected by these la🦋wsuits.

Although Playground Games hasn't given specifics on why, it has removed the Carlton and Floss dances from its own title, Forza Horizon 4 this week. It is being assumed that their removal is linked to th🦋e lawsuits being brought against Epic. The last thing Playground wants is to be dragged into that whole mess along with Epic.

In terms of the respective lawsuits, some of them clearly have more clout to them than others. Orange Shirt Kid and Backpack Kid both effectively gave permission for their dances to be used by Epic. Meanwhile, Ribiero's Carlton dance has been traced back to a Bruce Springsteen music video that was released before The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air ever hit our screens. As of right now, it looks as if the momentum is very much swinging in Fortnite's favor.
