Fortnite players will need𒆙 to partake in a spot of fishing 🅠this week should they wish to unlock the next Aquaman-themed reward.
Move over Deadpool! Fortnite is Aquaman's island now. Makes sense considering the amount of water that was dumped on the island at the start of Season 3. Considering the floaties Deadpool has left behind, swimming wasn't exactly his strong suit. However, the arrival of a Captain America skin over the weekend suggests Fortnite's relationship with Marvel is far from over.
Back to Aquaman, and as was the case with Deadpool in Season 2, getting your hands on the DC hero's skin will not come easy. Players will need to complete one challenge per week. Each challenge is not officially revealed until the start of each new week, which means no one will be able to get their hands on Aquaman until Epic wants them to.
In week one, players needed to use a Whirlpool at The Fortilla. Then in week 2, they needed to ride a Loot Shark. That second one is far trickier than what players have been tasked with in week three. Catching two different types of fish in the same match. For those who don't tend to fish in Fortnite, let us expla🐻in how to easily tick off this challenge.
First off, players will need to find a fishing rod. Although they can be found randomly around the map, the best bet is to grab one from a popular fishing spot. So Thꦦe Fortilla, Dirty Docks, or Misty Meadows. Those will also be the places in which the most fish can be found (makes sense, right?). Look for some activity in the water not far from the shore and cast your line. That can be done using the same buttons needed to aim and fire a gun.
There are three types of common fish to be caught in Fortnite. The Small Fry, the Flopper, and the Slurpfish. Catch two of those three, which should come pretty easy, and the challenge is complete. Players will unlock the Sea Shaka emoji for doing so but more importantly - becಌause honestly when is anyone ever going to use that emoji? - they will be one step closer to that elusive Aquaman skin.
