Fortnite players rejoice! The bat𒀰tle royale game will be available to download and play on PlayStation 5 and Xb🌃ox Series X at launch.

It feels a little like the COVID-19 outbreak is preventing anything new from hitting the entertainment world right now. Projects have been delayed and postponed all across the globe. However, Sony and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Microsoft remain adamant that the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Series X willꦑ both be released before the end of 2020,♓ giving gamers something to look forward to.

Although the price points of both consoles have not yet been confirmed, chances are they will cost people a pretty penny when first released. So much so that some of📖 those planning on buying a PS5 or Series X might not be able to afford more than a game or two to go along with their new hardware at launch.

Epic has some good news on that front. The developer has revealed that Fortnite is coming to the new platforms (how could it not?) and will be available to download from day one. That means even people who buy a console without any games will at least be able to download and play something on their new console, even if that game won't show off the next-gen consoles' capabilities, at least not💮 at first.

That's due to the fact Fortnite will continue to use Unreal Engine 4 until at least the middle of 2021, reports Video Games Chronicle. Epic's aim is to have Fortnite running using its new Unreal Engine 5 by "mid-2021." UE5 will be available on both current-gen and next-gen consoles, so although unconfirmed at this point, it sounds like the cross-play Epic has pioneered via Fortnite will soon bridge generations of consoles as we𓆉l🐻l as rival companies.

So begins speculation on what Epic might do in Fortnite to usher in the next generation of console. It has staged some pretty massive events during the three years since it launched, including having the entire game sucked into a black hole only for a new island to emerge hours later. A lot will happen in Fortnite between now and the launch of the next-gen conso♎les, making𒉰 predictions at this point almost impossible.
