Epic Games has that it will be hosting the best players in the world in a solo invitational event to wrap up the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) with a൲n impressive $2 million prize pool in May. Beginning on May 9, players will face off to prove who the best of the best is in 2020, with one major change from last year.
Rather than the event take place over a weekend,ಌ the invitational will be spread over three weekends. This is an interesting change to say the least and will hopefully not be overshadowed if a few players take a massive, unreachable lead by the second or third week𒁃.
While some of the best players in the world will be attending, Epic has also stated that there will be an Open Qualifier for Champion Ranked players as well, opening up the potential for new and lesser known playe🍸rs to make their mark on the competitive scene. In total, five hundred players will dive into the action, originating from the following qualifying locations:
- The top 100 players from Season 2 PC FNCS Finals
- The top 100 players from Season 2 Console/Mobile FNCS Finals
- The top 100 players from Season 1 FNCS Finals
- The top 100 players from Season X FNCS Finals
- Up to 100 players invited directly by Epic
The Open Qualifier for Champion for ranked players will begin on May 2. While all of the details have yet to be rev⭕ealed, Epic has indicated that there will be a new scoring format compared to last year and each week will feature 🌜its own prizing with only the best advancing from one week to the next.
While four hundred spots are reserved for those top players who have cut their teeth aga𝓡inst other top competitors, Epic will also invite 100 players at its discretion. Given that the championship is an opportunity to drum up more hype for a game, it would make sense to see major streaming personalities who are not necessarily top players.
For example, while we might expect to see Tfue earn a spot among other top players, Epic would be wise to invite someone like Ninja due to his popularity as a Fortnite streamer. S𒁏ince he did not qualify last year, this new rule would allow Epic to tailor the competition to be a mix of mostly top skill with an entertainment factor to attract more casual viewers.
