Fortnite's Chapter 3, Season 2 will be themed around Resistance and will introduce Doctor Strange, The Prowler, and parkour mechanics to the game.

Earlier today, , which is named "Resistance" and features the players rallying to go up against Doctor Sloane, who has returned with an army. As is the case with any Fortnite cinematic trailer, it's almost always hinting at some of the additions to the season, although until we see a gameplay overview of some kind, we won't know what's actually making it into the season.

The cinematic trailer showed drills coming up from the ground, which has been teased in-game over the past few weeks. We then see tanks going up against armoured battle buses, before some players start showi꧟ng off the new parkour mechanics, which were leaked at the start of the last season and are finally making their debut here.

, these parkour mechanics are part of the player's base moveset now and allow them to sprint faster for a limited time, bash through doors, and even mantle ledges to climb them.

The rest of the trailer shows the war between the players and Doctor Sloane's army, including characters who look like The Foundation and have similar moves. More features teased in the rest of the trailer include rope lifts that carry players to the top of a mountain, similarly to ziplines, and a unique item used by Doctor Sloane that eliminates all builds in the vicinity.
