Summary
- Fortnite's new Star Wars season just went live today, and it's made a big change to The Island.
- All of the new blasters that have been introduced are actually the only weapons in the game right now.
- That means no ordinary guns can be wielded in Battle Royale, which doesn't look like it's changing any time soon.
Chapter 6, Season 3 was already guaranteed to be a divisiꦛve season thanks to its focus on ,🅷 but it's going to be even more controversial since it doesn't have any normal weapons or even ammo.
Even though we're a few days﷽ away from it being Star Wars Day on May 4, Epic Games and Fortnite have decided to fast-forward the celebrations w✅ith a brand-new season themed around the Force. Instead of just chucking in some Lightsabers and Star Wars characters and calling it a day, Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 3 goes all in on the series, including adding Starfig𒊎hters and a bunch of familiar locations. Some might think that it's even gone too far, .

Blasters At The Ready
Earlier this week, Epic Games revealed all of the gameplay details about Galactic Battle before the season kicked off, whi🌸ch iꦿncluded sharing all of the weapons that are going to be included. The lineup shown consisted entir🃏ely of blasters, Thermal Detonators, and Light🐼sabers, without a single normal gun to be seen or picked up. It seems this will last the whole season, too, .
Most players assumed this was just to highlight the guns and that other ordinary weapons from Chapter 6 would be in𝓀clud✤ed, but that's not the case at all. Now that Galactic Battle has gone live, , something that's sure to be controversial considering how seriously competitive players take the game.
All of the Star Wars guns have unlimited ammo and work on a cooldown, which means that Ammo Boxes have also been vaulted for ಌthe fir♌st time ever.
To be fair, the Blasters are incredibly powerful and basically work like normal guns without a🌃mmo🅠, but it is a little weird that they're the only weapon on the Island right now, as previous Star Wars seasons have still had other guns. , it'll be interesting to see how players react and if Epic ends up caving and adding a few bullet-based arms.
