As great as♍ skins based on classic Disney villains and The Incredibles are, though, one thing was made clear throughout the Horizons presentation - they ar༒e just the beginning.

Fortnite's Big Disney Crossover Is "Still A Few Years Away"

Following the Horizons event at D23, the , which gave us a better idea of what Disney and Epic are working on together. According to the blog, the two companies are building an "all-new games and entertainment universe", which sounds an awful lot like a separate game mode similar t🌜o Lego Fortnite and Fortnite Festival.

The blog also confirms that although Fortnite is getting some Disney and Pixar content later this year, the larger project between Epic and Disney is "still a few years away". That was vaguely suggested with the claims of it being in development still, but this claim is the closest thing have to a concrete release date. Guess we're looking at 2026 at the earliest.

Although Disney's pitch for its Fortnite collaboration does make it sound like a very big project, it is a little bit surprising to hear that it's still so far out. To be completely fair, the deal was only made official earlier this year, but it does make you wonder just how expansive and involved the big collaboration is going to end up being.
