Update: 04/12/23 22:20GMT - A Fortnite fan has in response to the changed animations, revealing private information such as current and past addresses. Original story follows.
Fortnite's newest update is huge, finally bringing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Peter Griffin to the Battle Royale alongside Solid Snake, with quality-of-life improvements such as being able to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:move while chugging, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an entire LEGO mode. Like I said, huge. But alongside all the notable improvements♍ are new animations that are pr꧂oving incredibly unpopular so far.
The big criticism is that running is slower. Your character used to lean forward and put some effort into their sprint, but the new animations make things look slower. "The movement in this season is literally just walking in Loot Lake," , calꦫling for whoever designed it to be fired.
Fortnite feels so a** with its new movemen🅰t animations.
Of course, the movement isn't that much slower. Animations and visual effects are often used to make you feel faster than you actually are, like blurring the sides of the screen in a racing game. In Fortnite's case, the character leaned forward and put a lot of effort into their 'sprint'. It's a lot more relaxed now, but side-by-side comparisons show that you are .
Many fans are calling on Epic Games to revert the animations or increase the running speed (asking fans to like their tweets in a show of support). These have garnered thousands upon thousands of likes, but there's an unfortunate sentiment between all of them - commenters and even, in some cases, posters calling for the developers behind the new animations to be fired.
"You ruined the game I love", @BobbyCrankum said,🅰 attaching a GIF saying, "How do we kill him?"
Developer Colin Friday excitedly shared the new animations and was met with harassment and hate, with many demanding he be fired personally. "Y'all could've just offered the man constructive criticism but no, let's just harass him instead!" @MemeOfLord replied. "That's a perfectly normal way, totally normal way, for change to happen."
While many have been quote retweeting and sharing Friday's post with hate and calls for his termination, others have been voicing support, even if they are critical of the update. "Feel sorry for this guy," @isvenominshop said. "I'm not a fan of the new changes either, but there's no reason to be a di** about it".
Wherever you land on the new movement, the animations aren't that much slower. But that hasn't stopped a mounting wave of backlash.
