The map is one of the most important aspects of the games in the Forza Horizon series and it's no different in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Forza Horizon 5. Seeing as your next three years playing the game will likely be in this one location, it’s necessary for the developers to get it 🦄right and Playground Games did just that by picking Mexico as the location for Horizon 5.
The map has everything you need for a successful open world racing game, including a long highway, plenty of dirt roads and a massive volcano. But there are still some things you may not know about Forza Horizon 5’s map of Mexico.
10 🌌 Why Mexico? 🙈
Many fans were expecting the game to be set in Japan, so when it was announced that𝔉 Horizon 5 would be taking place in Mexico, some were left disappointed. In reality, it couldn’t have been a smarter decision.
Playground Games decided to go with Mexico for a few reasons. In an Creative Director Mike Brown said, "Mexico as a country is almost like the whole world in one country." There’s almost nothing you can’t do in Mexico. It’s such a great location and, when combined with the rich Mexican culture, is the perfect spot for the Horizon Festival.
9 🍃 💫 It Has Unique Biomes
Mexico is such a vast country loaded with different types of terrain and nearly every single one of these biomes can be travelled across in Forza Horizon 5. In total, there are 11 biomes in the game: canyon, tropical coast, farmland, arid hills, jungle, living desert, rocky coast, sand desert, swamp, urban and volcano.
With all that variety, it&ꦜrsquo;s no 🃏surprise that some players are having loads of fun with the EventLab and creating some of the most unique races seen in any Forza Horizon game. This community is incredible.
8 It's Absolutely Massive
In terms of size, the Forza Horizon 5 map is a goliath. In fact, it’s approximately 107km squared. That’s 50 percent bigger than the map in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Forza Horizon 4, making it the biggest map yet in a Horizon༒ game.
Since the map was specifically built for this new generation of consoles, it was always going to be big but who knew it would be that big? With a map of this size, there’s plenty of space to go 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:looking for barn finds and you’re going t𝓰o want to collect every one 𒀰of them.
7 ♔ There Are Iconic Landmarks
There are so many cool plac💮es to visit in Forza Horizon 5’s map of Mexico. Of course, you have to check out the main city in the game, Guanajuato. The city is known for it’s undergr♋ound tunnels, which are a part of most tracks around the area.
There are also plenty of Mayan ruins you can explore through expeditions, such as Ek' Balam, Tulum, Uxmal and Teotihuacan. Just don’t expect to use the stairs of the ancient ruins as ramps because most of them are barred off from vඣehicles.
6 🙈 The▨y Took To The Skies
If you ever stared at the gorgeous Mex🍌ican sky and wondered why it looks so good in Forza Horizon 5, that’s because it was a point of emphasis for developer 🐬Playground Games. Not only did the team spend some time in Mexico to help with cultural appropriation, but they also used their time in the country to take some pictures of the sky.
What they ended up with was 48,000 8K pictures of the sky worth a total of 75TB of data. That is a lot of efforജt put into such a minor detail in the game. You love to see it.
5 La Gran Caldera♋
One of the most unique features of the Mexican map is the presence of a volcano known as La Gran Caldera, which translates to The Great Boiler. There has never been a volcano in a Horizon game before, so La Gran Caldera is a welcome addition to the series.
The peak of the volcano is the highest point ever in a Horizon game, so you better make sure you have one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best off-road cars in the game if you want to make the trip ⛄up there. It’s well worth the climb.
4 There's A Long And Winding Highway
The highway is an integral part of any Horizon map because it’s where you go to 🌺test the top speed of your hypercars. Players love to put the pedal to the medal and race members of their convoy and the Mexican highway in Horizon 5 is perfect for just that.
It can take you anywhere between 7 to 8 minutes to get from one end of the highway to the other, even if you have one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the fastest cars in the game. It&꧃rsquo;s the longest highway in any Horizo♒n game and the best one yet.
3 🤡 It Has Dynamic And Localiꦅzed Weather
What’s unique about Mexico is the weather. With so many different biomes, there is such varied weather in the country and Horizon 5 gets this absolutely spot on with dynamic and localized weather. The weather in one biome is not going to be same as another and it can change quickly.
For example, the sand desert biome could be having a full-blown sandstorm while the jungle biome is having light rain. Gone are the days when the weather was limited to just sunny, overcast, rain, snow and thu💫nderstorms.
2 There's A Change Of Seasons
Seasons were a major point of contention in Horizon 4, with most players having a str𓄧ong dislike for winter. Sure, it was neat that lakes froze and were able to be driven on but racing in the winter was quite difficult. Thankfully, seasons got reworked in Horizon 5.
Now, seasons will only make subtle changes to certain biomes of the map. For example, dry season will cause more sandstorms in the desert and the storm season will cause more tropic🐼al storms in the tropical coast and jungle biomes.
1 ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ You Can Filter Map Icons ꦰ
The map of Forza Horizon 5 is gigantic and filled with so many events that it could be overwhelming for some players to look at the𒁏 world map. Luckily, there’s a way to filter the world map so you could only see the events you want.
In the word map menu, simply select the filters menu and check or uncheck the icons you’d like to see or remove from the map. If you wa൩nt to focus sol🐓ely on Horizon stories and road racing, you could do exactly that by filtering the icons. The less clutter the better.
