In Fuga: Melodies of Steel, the adorable yet sad turn-based JRPG puts you in the shoes of (up to) 12 children displaced by war in what amounts to fantasy WWII with cats and dogs. This plucky crew are on a quest to find t🐽heir families, and if you want them to survive to the end, you need to not feed them all the Soul Cannon and use teamwork to fight you🐽r way across the countryside.
Regarding the latter, teamwork isn’t just a touchy-feely thing, but has tangible rewards in the form of more powerful support abilities and more importantly, the unlocking of powerful team attacks. These Link Attacks are unlocked when you get the friendshipꦅ level of two children to level two and hit all enemies, usually with an additional effect. Each child has a unique Link Attack that they can use when they’re in the support slot with a child they are friends with, and they have 🀅a full Link Gauge.
12 Pierce
Support: Kyle
Oth♊er than the bonus damage that you deal with a Link Attack, this move is almost useless. It has a chance to remove one armor rank from all enemies, something Kyle can do much more reliably and for more armor ranks pretty early on. Mei even has a Skill that allows her to do this that is guaranteed to reduce armor later on.
If you’ve got a full Li♓nk Gauge with Kyle, 99 percent of the time, t💎he right move is to switch and let the other child use their undoubtedly more useful Link Attack.
11 Pyro
Support: Hack
Pyro is fine, doing the usual big ꦺdamage to all enemies with a chance to inflict t🌳hem all with the Burn status effect, which deals a percentage of the afflicted enemies’ max health as damage with a smaller percentage for bosses.
While more damage is always nice, status effects can be hit-or-miss and against bosses, the percentage of damage Burn deals is rather sma❀ll. Chances are, you’re better off using Link Attacks with some♏ defensive utility or just dealing some straight damage.
10 Weak
Support: Chick
This Link Attack is more usꦚeful than it seems, and its name is not a descriptor of how uꦜseful it is. Weak afflicts enemies with Weakness, which lowers the amount of damage enemies do.
Taking less damage is always a good thing and Fuga is at times unforgiving, with s꧒tray shots and unlucky hits leading to the Taranis’ destruction. Hitting opponents with Weakness can buy you some breathing room and blunt attacks that would normally be devastating, which makes this ability especially useful against Bosses, Elite Battles and some particularly tough normal enemies.
9 Carbon
Support: Jin
Carbon has a chance to afflict opponents with the Smoke statu꧒s effect, rendering opponents less accurate. Everything that can be said for the Weakness status effect goes doub🌳le for Smoke.
After all, less damage is nice, but not getting damaged at all is even better. If you’re particularly lucky, this can even cause e🍸nemies to miss some downright devastating attacks that would otherwise heavily damage or even destroy the🐎 Taranis.
8 Spark
Support: Britz
Spark has a chance to afflict opponents with💛 the Shock status effect, delaying enemies for a long time by freezing them in place on the timeline. This means that Shock works well with the delay mechanic of the game that pushes enemy units back on the timeline. Mind you, this is not a chance of an effect but a guarantee, which is likely the reason why this move can be difficult to land, especially against bosses.
On the other hand, the chance to Shock is still high enough that it would be worth deploying in particularly tough non-boss battles, since the extra damage and the huge delay does a lot to save you resources further down the line. The only problem with this moveꦉ is that there’s no indication of when the effect ends, so keep an e⛎ye on your opponents.
7 Smart
Support: Socks
Socks is o🌳ne of the better all-around units in Fuga, especially when it comes to status effects, so it makes sense that of the status effect Link Attacks, he’d have one of the 🦩more potent ones.
Smart has a chance of afflicti♛ng foes with Smoke, Burn and/or Shock. Anyone one of those would be useful, particularly Shock, but the chance to land more than one is a tantalizing prospect.
6 Brave
Support: Malt
For when you just need to deal some damage, you have thi👍s Link Attack. Much like Malt, this is a no-frills move that has a job and gets it done. It doesn’t do any extra status effects, buffs, or recovery. Instead, Brave does big damage.
Whi💜le it might be a bit basic, keep in mind that with enough damage, you can deal the most power❀ful status effect of all: death.
5 Crazy
Support: Wappa
For when you just need to deal some damage, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:you like to gamble, you have this Link Attack. Similar to Malt, this move deals bigger damage than other Link Attacks to make up for 𒀰its lack of additional effect.
However, it can randomly deal bigger damage than what Malt can do, which is why it j🔜ust edges out Brave. If Malt and 🀅Wappa are paired up and have a full Link Gauge, it’s better to put Wappa in the back seat and hit ‘em with a Crazy Burst.
4 Cheer
Support: Mei
Plucky little 💃Mei’s Cheer is a🍸 fantastic move that increases the Link Gauges of the other combat pairs that are active.
While you can use this whenever you need to damage a bunch of enemies and get a nice boost of Link Gauge that you can leverage later, you can also hold it until you h✃ave two other pairs with at least 70 percent of their Link Gauge. Cheer will fill in the rest, allowing you to da🦩isy-chain Link Attacks for a fusillade of pain.
3 Heavy
Support: Boron
Though he is a big, kind good cat boy, Boron should not be underestimated as he is also one of the hea𒉰viest hitters in the game, with a combination of abilities that will make any enemy take pause. Case in point, his Link Attaཧck, Heavy.
In a game where the turns of even the weakest enemies can be devastating to you and a large amount of it revolves around delaying enemy turns, this makes Heavy the king 𝄹of offensive moves, since it delays all enemies. Ev✨en better, this delay effect is separate from other delaying effects like Shock or destroying the weakness icons of enemy units, so if you play your cards right, your foes won’t be moving for a long time.
