Angry fans on the r/Freefolk subreddit that are upset over the conclusion of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Game of Thrones in its eighth season have been discussing among themselves how best to deal with the showrunners David Benioff🧸 and D.B. Weiss at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. Many are calling for an outright booing of the two men when they go to speak, while others have called for different tactics, and the entire discussion has the forum up in arms as they decide how best to handle the upcoming event.
To say that the final season of the show was divisive is putting it lightly. Some have t♔aken to the internet with the intention of blasting everything about how the show-runners chose to handle the conclusion of the series. Currently, there are three proposed plans for how to treat the show-runners over at r/Freefolk: Boo them fiercely, laugh at everything they have to say, or take the high road and ask relevant, hard hitting questions regarding key decisions made in the creation of the final season. Unsurprisingly, the loudest, most obnoxious voices seem only interested in booing and are at odds with everyone else, calling them HBO interns and shills looking 💞to distract from the “important matters."
Such is the s🍬tate of the extreme levels of fandom, with a small portion of armchair critics spewing their criticism from the safety of their screens, unafraid to let the world know how terrible these show-runners have been, but only from beneath the shield of total anonymity.
As with everything in life, there are diplomatic ways to go about conflicts with those we do not agree with, and yet, these few voices call for only the most disrespectful of methods. It is unfortunate as well that it would come to SDCC, which truly is the spirit of fandom and an event that brings people toge𒆙ther in their love for fiction and fantasy.
The truth is that there should be no booing, nor should there be laughing at David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. They are two men who took us all on an incredible journey over these past eight years by taking on the monuꩵmental task of adapting the books written by George R. R. Martin.
And therein lies the real issue – Weiss and Benioff are not the writers of the story, and they never planned to be. They engaged in a project with the understanding and legitimate hope that by the time they reached the end, Martin would have finished his story. But this was not the case. Now, we have two men who have done a wonderful job in adaptation, suddenly t𝓡asked with creating some magical, organic ending to appease so many fans.
It is not easy to do ✤such a thing. If it were, 👍Martin would have done it himself.
As fans of the show and the book, we should not demonize those who poured their artistic souls into the episodes we have loved for nearly a decade just because they were suddenly burdened with an impossible tas🌟k at the close.
If you want to blame someone for the lack of a proper ending, blame Martin. If you th☂ink you can do better than Weiss and Benioff in a comparable show adaptation, spanning a decade and thousands of people working together, by all means go ahead and do so. But until then, laughing or booing them at SDCC is little more than the sounds of children throwing a tantrum.
