Xbox Gamepass is a relatively cheap way to get a large variety of games for around $10-12 per month. With ove﷽r 100 games available as well as a constantly changing inventory, from every generation of Xbox content. From very sought after games to so🍬me truly dreadful, there is something for everyone. The real downside to this system, aside from some completely awful games, is the fact that after you cancel your subscription, you lose all the games that you had previously downloaded and played. So, say goodbye to your play and return style of gameplay, unless you plan on dishing out another subscription.

Whether you are an avid Xbox gamer or not, even you can appreciate some of the games on this list, as well as scratch your head in confusion on why 💙some of these games even made it here. From the best games, some being such an incredible and cheap deal, to the must-haves and even release date games. That being said, there are also games that make you go “Wait, why?”. Regardless of your reaction on these games, Xbox Gamepass is a great deal, even if it’s just to laugh at some of the a𒁃bsolutely cringe-worthy games.

Best: State Of Decay 2

[caption id="attachment_233268" align="alignnone" width="1000"] via variety.com[/caption]
Crushing zombies with your car, co-op with your friends, and endless waves of the undead. If these sound fun to you, this game is definitely worth picking up. Cross-platform (with PC) and its play anywhere system, you can hop on Xbox or PC and join up with your friends for an undead collaboration. In its recent release and normally higher priced value, this is definitely a steal. The gameplay is slower than your average zombie game, but it's tons of fun to tackle with friends.

Embarrassing: Gears Of War Judgement

[caption id="attachment_21460" align="alignnone" width="1280"] via: gamesknit.com[/caption]
Have you ever wanted to play a gripping and thrilling multiplayer? A story-line that tugs on your emotions and makes you feel for the characters? A well-balanced and fun gameplay mechanic enveloped game? If you answered yes to any of these, you might want to find another game, because Gears Judgement is none of those things. It may be slightly entertaining for a brief time, but that fades fast, especially if you had played Gears of War 3 previously. The only reason this game is even on Xbox Gamepass is that it is an Xbox exclusive, and that hurts.

Best: LIMBO

[caption id="attachment_15515" align="alignnone" width="1920"] via lgdb.org[/caption]
A beautiful and artistic style game with its platforming down perfectly, this game is a work of art. Its dark themes and its open-ended narrative, LIMBO will have you completely involved in the game. The achievements may be a bit of a hassle, but the fun and beauty of the game make those repetitive achievements enjoyable. If you have ever had an unresolved hatred for spiders, this game will definitely help you climb over that hurdle. Especially if those spiders you hate are larger than life.

Embarrassing: Disneyland Adventures

[caption id="attachment_229358" align="alignnone" width="3840"] News.xbox.com[/caption]
Disneyland is great for excitement, the food, thrilling experiences, and endless entertainment, all things that you cannot have with this game. This one truly baffled me when I saw this, it is essentially a Disneyland simulator, except without any of the benefits of going to the actual Disneyland. I mean, you could go all out on the simulation by getting yourself a churro and plopping down on the couch. On the bright side, you don't have to wait for lines for your favorite rides. However, you also don't get any of the enjoyment from the rides either.

Best: Payday 2

[caption id="attachment_229379" align="alignnone" width="1920"] Gamewatcher.com[/caption]
Robbing banks, keeping hostages, making money, and leaving behind nothing but bullet holes. Sounds fun, doesn't it? Now bring along up to 3 other friends, equip one another with an assortment of perks, guns, and design your own mask, now you are ready to take on the world! This first-person shooter is an incredibly fun co-op game, with a large assortment of customization options and options on heists and ways to pull off each heist. It is a truly incredible game to just be added onto Xbox Gamepass, without it even being exclusive to the console.

Embarrassing: Castlestorm

[caption id="attachment_229382" align="alignnone" width="1920"] Criticalindiegamer.com[/caption]
You might be thinking "Hey, that's not a bad game.", but the thing is that this isn't the Xbox One version of the game on here. That's right. They put the Xbox 360 version of the game onto the Xbox Gamepass and left the Xbox One version alone in the store, just so you could go and buy it once you are done with the Xbox 360 version. The game is free-to-play on iOS and Android Don't get me wrong, I love the Xbox 360 backwards compatible feature, it's an incredibly useful and amazing feature, but when you only include the older version and not the more advanced port of the game, it makes you wonder what is going through their minds when they think of the games that should go on here.

Best: Sea Of Thieves

[caption id="attachment_229388" align="alignnone" width="1600"] engadget.com[/caption]
Arr, did ye ever want to collect boundless amounts of that booty? Feelin' ye sing sea shanties along with your best mates? Rare's newest game has got you covered then. With its treasure hoarding, grog drinking, cannon shooting, shark dodging entertainment, you can be a pirate along with your friends and an entire sea of other pirates who may hop aboard and help you along the way, fighting the Kraken and the Megalodon are just a few of the features this game has. Warning: Not all pirates you meet will be friendly. They are pirates after all.

Embarrassing: Resident Evil 6

[caption id="attachment_229393" align="alignnone" width="1280"] bitcultures.com[/caption]
I personally enjoyed this game, but I know it is considered the worst one of the series, and I am aware of its many issues. That being said, I am giving my non-biased opinion. The game added a few jump-scares, but it completely eliminated the fear aspect of the previous titles. Resident Evil 6 featured three stories that coexisted The storyline was fairly bland and didn't really get you motivated to care about anyone of the newly added characters. The best part about the game was the fact that they brought Leon back.

22 Best: Ninja Gaiden Black 🔴 💯

The-nextlevel.com

This original Xbox title was ripe with a great story, graphics (for its time), and very high replay value. Ninja Gaiden is an incredible game for Xbox Gamepass, no need to pull out your🙈 dusty old original Xbox, with its clunky controller. Now you can use the beautifully designed Xbox One controller and your quick launch Xbox One to hop right into some ninja slaying goodness. Its precise controls and clean gameplay just go hand-in-hand with🐲 Xbox Gamepass

21 ﷺ Embarrassing:༺ DMC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition

Via gamestop.ie

Don't get me wrong, I love a good remastered game, but this game was barely remastered. It was really just a port from the Xbox 360 version, but with another set of achievements and the DLC. So, if you hadn't played it on the last generation of consoles, it might be worth a little of your time. As it only really entertains you f💮or about half the game and the game seemed very tedious and repetitive.

20 ♛ Best: 🃏Fable II

gamesradar.com

Fable is a beautiful, well put together game, with a great storyline. It's easy to find yourself running through this game multiple times, in a variety of ways. Xbox's Backwards compatibility really sold it with Fable 2, and if you haven't playe✨d the first, don't worry, the entire trilogy is also on Xbox's Gamepass. As a♊n easy to get into series, great controls, and riveting storyline, this is definitely worth grabbing!

19 ꩲ Embarrassing: KYUB

Trueachievements.com

KYUB is not a very well known game, and there is a reason for that. From its dreadful repetition, boring gameplay, and its awful controls, this game was supposed to be a puzzle-style game. Unfortunately, its controls were much too confusing and f♒elt like they were ever-changing based on the camera, it was a struggle to try to get through and after messing up due to the controls and needing to start over, it really got you to just give up on the game. ꧂It's a really questionable choice by Microsoft to include this on their subscription system.

18 🍨 Best: ReCore

Windowscentral.com

ReCore is an extremely underrated game. Give ♉it a spin — you'll be surprised how enveloping it is. The beautiful scenery, extravagant controls, and the Zelda-like game-style had me hooked, and talking about it to all my friends. Who, in turn, then picked up the game and indulged countless hours into the game. It is a real shame how poor this game did at launch. ReCore is an incredible get for the Gamepass subscribers.

17 Embarrassing: Homefront: The Re♍ꩵvolution

gamespot.com

Don't even get me started on the Homefront series. This game was riddled with countless bugs, barely ☂usable controls, and a bland story. With over 100 1 star reviews🧔 on Xbox, it's truly embarrassing that this game even managed to get into the Gamepass.

The previous games in itꦅs series never did well, but they continued making them, regardless. Deep Silver should know better.

16 ♕ Best: Guacamelee

xboxenthusiast.com

This is a side-scrolling action-platformer at its best. With similarities to Castlevania and Metroid, this game's incredibly fun levels and powerups keep it interesting front to back. Paired with a captivating aesthetic, and impeccable sound design, Guacamelee is not to be missed. With a sequel set to releas🌃e later thi🌟s year, there is no better time to check it out this luchador-filled Metroidvania.

15 𒀰 Embarrassing: Comic Jumper

wordpress.com

Right after a great platformer comes this monstrosity. The best part about this game is its comedic value. Which, if you have played it, is extremely lacking. Developer Twisted Pixel have made a handful of games (some big hits — and some big misses), but sadly, Comic Jumper is not one of their better video games. It tries to be endearing and ends up fꦑalling flat. The conc🎃ept is neat — but this one ends up feeling remarkable dated and altogether embarrassing.

14 Best: Steredenn 💛

steamcommunity.com

If you are a video game enthusiast who enjoys rogue-likes such as The Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon, you will love this game. Steredenn is a highly difficult side-scrolling spaceship shooter (or Bullethell) like classic SNES games in the vein of Super Nova and Darius Twin. It will have you trying new weapons and powerup at the drop of a hat. With its large variety of weapons, items, and bosses/enemies, Steredenn offers an incredible amount of replay value. Just get ready to lose A LOT before you finally make it through some of the ꦺbosses.

13 🌞 🔥 Embarrassing: Mega Man 9/10

Ricedigital.co.uk

This one isn't exactly too much of a jab at the game itself, this is more of a headscratcher about how Microsoft handles their licensing. Xbox Gamepass includes Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2, which is great if you are a Mega Man fan. However, the legacy collections include MegaMan 1-10, which really gets you to question why they included 9 and 10 in the Gamepass. It honestly feels like they were just trying to climb over that 100  game marker so they could say that it includes "over 10💫0 games.".
