The year has already been so full of games that I can barely catch my breath. April was stuffed with indies, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Horizon Forbidden West’s DLC, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Island 2, and of course, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. June is already smashing us with Diablo 4 and Street Fighter 6, just weeks after the release of Tears of the Kingdom, and we still have Final Fanta𝔍sy 16 to deal with. Out of all of these, I’ve only had time to play Jꦆedi: Survivor and Diablo 4, and it’s literally my job to play and write about video games. The average person, who doesn’t sink hundreds of hours a month into gaming, will already have plenty of games to delve into for the rest of the year. But wait! We haven’t even talked about the second half of the year.
It didn’t seem all that hectic, and then the Xbox Games Showcase happened, hitting us with a slew of release dates in the very near future. July is relatively calm, with Immortals of Aveum being the biggest release of the month, though my colleague 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Eric Switzer is rooting for Remnant 2 to be a sleeper hit, and many of my colleagues are 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:excitedly awaiting The Expanse:🐟 A Telltale Series. It’s in August that🐟 a huge ramp-up starts, and I simply don’t know how I’l🐼l have time to play, let alone finish, all of them.
August will bring us the full release of . The previous instalment took roughly 47 hours to beat, though many players spent over 100 hours exploring every nook and cranny, and it’s likely that BG3 will have a similar scope and require a similar time investment from its players. We’ll also be getting the highly anticipated 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Armored Core 6 from 🍬FromSoftware, Sea of Stars, and💎 Atlas Fallen.
September is full of heavy hitters, and this is the one that’s going to pad gamer’s backlogs till the next swell of releases. Xbox’s hugest release so far, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starfield, is launching early in the month, and I can already tell that t⛦here’s a good chance it’ll eat up all my time for several weeks, if not months. I’m not sure I’ll even have any desire to play Lies o✅f P or Mortal Kombat 1, which launch on September 19 and are likely to be overshadowed by Bethesda’s highly anticipated RPG. If you’re not interested in any of those, there’s also Payday 3 and the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion, which promises to be a huge revamp to the game’s existing systems.
And then, for god’s sake, there’s October, which has Alan Wake 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage, all within eight days. Please, give us a break! We simply cannot play these many games, and it’s painful to even think about it. I love that the industry is pumping out so many games that are extremely worth playing, but I really wish publishers would spread their releases out, for our sake and theirs. I’m likely biased as I feel a need to play everything, because my understanding of the games industry is highly reliant on experienc𒀰ing games for myself. But even more casual players could get burnt out on the sheer number of games coming out if they don’t pace themselves – how I will get through all of this and play the new Like a Dragon game in November is yet to be seen. If, unlike me, you’re a normal person who wants to play and enjoy games at a normal pace, you are going to have an absolute buffet that will last you well into next year. But if you’re like me, a sucker who wants to play everything on release so you can keep up with the discourse, you might be screwed. There just aren’t enough hours in a year to play all these games, and have a social life and other hobbies.
