5 Eastward

The first thing that sticks out about Eastward is how beautiful its pixel art visuals look. The game sports some of the best 2D sprite work we've seen in a modern video game, and the visuals are paired with an awesome retrowave soundtrack.

Stellar presentation aside, the core game offers a meaty adventure that should take you 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:quite some time to complete. You control John and Sam, an unlikely pair of heroes, as they journey eastward through a post-apocalyptic world on the very brink of collapse. Along the way, you'll come across a memorable cast of characters, as well as visit various unique and beautiful locales, all while trying to uncover the secrets behind the origins of the corruption threatening to destroy the world.

4 Undertale

Released on PC for Windows and Mac OS X in 2015, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Undertale is a role-playing game with a passionate fanbase. The RPG is also noteworthy for being solely developed by Toby Fox, an indie developer and video game🗹 composer fr𒀰om Manchester, New Hampshire.

This beloved indie mixes classic RPG elements with a combat system that is more inspired by bullet hell shooters than by traditional turn-based battles. And similar to Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, the dialogue is frequently packed with side-splitting humor. Fox is currently working on Deltarune, a spiritual successor to Undertale, that explores similar themes to his breakout hit. It will likely be a while before Deltarune is complete, given that there are only two chapters available at the moment, but what is there 🙈is definitely worth your time.

The Game Boy Advance was home to one of the most uniq꧑ue Zelda adventures of them all, the size-manipulating The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap. Developed by Capcom, Minish Cap serves as a prequel to the multiplayer game, Four Swords, which was also released on the Game Boy Advance (bundled together with a re-releas👍e of A Link to the Past).

The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap finds Link, once again adventuring through Hyrule in a bid to save Princess Zelda, only this time around he gets to do so in miniaturized form, as he gains the ability to switch sizes through the help of a bird-like cap named Ezlo. The game was last ported to the Wii U Virtual Console in 2014 but with ﷺrumors that we might be getting Game Boy Advance titles added to the Nintendo Switch Online service soon, here's hoping that this underrated classic makes the cut.

Originally released in 2009, the game was the third entry in the Mario & Luigi series. Even though it was released on the very cusp of the industry's move to 3D graphics, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:EarthBound remains one of the most beloved role-playing games of the Super NES era. A lot of that love has come retroactively, though, since the game didn't do particularly well sales-wise when it came out in the US in 1995.

But, after the game's protagonist, Ness, and other characters from the series were included as fighters in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. games, many players went back to play through their Super Nintendo origins. Set in a parody of the US known as Eagleland, the game was unique at the time of its release for its use of humor and the way its mundane suburban setting allowed for a distinct spin on familiar RPG tropes. And while its Game Boy Advance sequel, Mother 3, was never officially localized in English, the good news is EarthBound (along with its NES predecessor, ♑Earthbound Beginnings) is now available to play on the base tier of the Nintendo Switch Online service.
