As with most other conventions this year, the fate of gamescom 2020 has been up in the air. While the ph🌊ysical gamescom may still be a thing, a digital event is 100% a go.
On the official websiꩵte 🍃today, gamescom organizers announced that previous plans for streams have been expanded in light of the current global climate. Both the "Opening Night Live" and "gamescom Now" streams will play home to a host of announcements and reveals. These will be taking place between August 25 and 29.
As for the physical event, organizers will be having a meeting in mid-May to determine whether or not the regular gamescom can go off as intended. "If an on-site event is possible, there will also be more information at that stage with regard to which changes need to be made in order to fully ensure the health of all 🌃visitors," reads the update.
If you've already paid to attend -either as an exhibitor or patron-, full reimbursements will be handed out should the physical event get cancele💞d. Officials will have more information when the time🐟 comes.
