Epic's Marvel collaboration continues with Gamora's pending arrival on Fortnite Island. Epic Games just announced the Gamora Outfit will be available for purchase starting August 14 at 8 PM EST.
"As the last remaining Zen-Whoberian, Gamora knows full well the devastating effects of plan🐠etary invasions," . "The former Guardian of the 🐽Galaxy member joins the fight to preserve and protect the Fortnite Island from the trespassers."
Gamora will also release alongside Star-Lord's outfit, which first appeared way back in 2019, along with several other cosmetic items. These include the Cloak Back Bling, Godslayer Pickaxe, and the Godslayer Glideboard.
Like many Marvel Comics characters that have arrived in Fortnite, Gamora doesn't look quite like the MCU version that arrived in Guardians of the Galaxy--likely to do with licensing costs.
And if you're such a fan of Gamora that you can't wait until Saturday, you can nab the Gamora outfit early by taking part in the Gamora Cup on August 11. This duos event will last three hours and span ten games. The top-performing teams in each region will receive the Gamora Outfit and Gamora Cloak Back Bling. As with previous tournaments, points are awarded based on your final placement in the game as well as one point for each elimination.
Players who score at least 8 points will receiveꦓ the participation prize of the Daughter of Thanos spray.
