The first big day of E3 2021 is well underway, and following a string of announcements from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ubisoft's showcase, we've now got a roundup of news from Gearbox Software. As most Gearbox fans may have already expected, we saw teases of Borderlands at the show, but the publisher shiftཧed focus to G🉐odfall, Homeworld 3, and Tribes of Midgard.
Gearbox relegated most of its time to vague movie commentary and sizzle reels, so there wasn't much solid news to come out of the show. Regardless, we've got the roundup here for everything you missed in the brie𝕴f, thirty-minute showcase.
Borderlands The Movie
Going into E3, we already knew a few big details about the upcoming Borderlands film. Gearbox CEO 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Randy Pitchford confirmed in earlier commꦐents that while the game would stay faithful to the tone and stylings of Borderlands, the game universe wasn't the same as the film universe - so you should proceed with an open mind about some changes. We've also seen the film cast several big names including actors like Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. As for movie details revealed in the actual showcase today, there weren't actually any. Pitchfo꧟rd briefly spoke to bigger names like Hart on set, but we didn't get a release date or trailer for the film. Any sneaky previews were blurred out and censored by in-game artwork.
Homeworld 3
Gearbox also took several chances to remind you t🍷hat Homeworld 3 is still a thing. The game was plugged throughout the showcase, but we didn't get much of a peak at anything just yet. Homeworld 3 exists, that's the news.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands
While we've already known Tiny𓄧 Tina's Wonderlands is underway, Gearbox gave us a brief introduction and rundown from the team. Senior producer Kayla Belmore explained that Tina's looter 🧸shooter is set to drop you into a Borderlands world with little or no knowledge of the universe. It's a stand-alone plot, packed with new characters, and only inspired by the universe we've experienced so far. Instead, Tiny Tina's Wonderland is its own thing with new enemy types in its fantasy setting.
Tribes of Midgard
Gearbox is publishing Tribes of Midgard on PS4 and Steam, it's a ten-player co-op adventure where you'll team up with friends to grow your own little viking village. Every night, you'll fight to defend your home from Norse bad❀dies ꧃that come out in the dark, waiting for bigger bosses to attack later. It's out on July 27, which was revealed just a couple of days ago prior to the show.
Godfall
Gearbox hasn't forgotten its action RPG, and will launch a new expansion, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fire and Darkness, on August 10. It's also making its way to PlayStation 4 (and will support crossplay) with the new expansion, and Godfall will finally get co-op matchmaking. 🍰Fire and Darkness is💜n't the only upcoming content update, either. Godfall will receive a free content update in the form of Lightbringer, unlocked by completing in-game objectives later this year.
