We wo🌱n't go into detail jus🍎t in case you haven't made it that far yet, but take our word for it, Ganyu is giving some important details on the region's politics.
Perhaps Ganyu🐟 should have at least given us the TLDR version though because the Traveler is clearly so done with it that he just.. dies. In a video from CMD_Neopolitan on Reddit, the Traveler makes a couple of pained noises like he's suffering (and randomly flinching), then drops dead and disappears. That kid was so bored he just ascended.
Something 🃏something, the Seven Archons, something God of Dendro, and we obviously don't care then it's lights out. What's more hilarious is that Ganyu just keeps going. She, Zhongli, and Paimon are just totally unphased by the fact someone died next to them.
Obviously, this wasn't how Mihoyo intended for the cutscene to play out. You can tell from those early animations that Traveler is being smacked about by something, we just don't know what. Since the cutscene locks everything up and the moment is unskippable, the Traveler is stuck there🔯 and forced to take the blows until their HP is zapped.
It's a hilarious glitch, I've experienced something similar a few times myself. Usually, the transition into a story moment pauses the world around you, but I have accidentally angered a Hilichurl or two that e𓂃nded me in one of Genshin Impact's more serious moments. It's fine though, just pop a Teyvat Fried Egg to revive your poor Traveler and get back to it. It may have ruined the moment, but we at least had a good laugh.
