One of the biggest issues in Genshin Impact right now is the staggering lack of content once you've r🥂eached AR 50 and above. At that point, there isn't much to do but stare in 🗹blank space or forcibly commit mass murder to Hilichurls for some books or Mora. As it is, the players are in need of some new content right now and thankfully, we're inching ever closer to that as Inazuma is looming on the horizon.

It's the fabled next big map or addition to the game right now and its arrival signals a great many things for the game's future. That's because originally, the game only released with Mondstadt and ๊Liyue and the players are starting to get tired or too familiar with those places. That's why a lovely change of scenery is warranted right now and the enigmatic lands of Inazuma to the east should do it. Consider these facts about Inazuma as your digital travel brochure before it hopefully ꧑arrives sometime later this year.

10 🔥 It Means 'Lightning' In Japanese 𝐆

Concept art for Genshin Impact

Inazuma literally means lightning in Japanese, making the island quite thematic and promising. The name isn't just meant for some cool factor points— it's thematic and ಌdescribes the political and social situation in Inazuma quite well, more on that later.

Despite being in close proximity wওith Liyue, Inazuma is only accessible by ship and isn't considered a warm and welcoming country b𒁃y outsiders. As such, don't expect it to be as easily accessible or as endearing as Liyue or Mondstadt. The country has its own rules and system.

9 It♉ཧ's Based On Japan

Tatarasuna, Kannazuka

If it wasn't clear enough already, Inazuma is based on the country of Japan from its name to its people. Thus, the people there also h⛦ave Japanese-soundi𒁏ng names. Inazuma is also located in the easternmost part of Teyvat in a group of islands accessible only via the ocean.

That's pretty much the geographical situation of Japan ever since i♛t existed. Expect to see architecture similar to the medieval or colonial period of Japan where Japanese Pagodas and Japanese-style castles are all over the place.

8 It's Als𝓀o I💜solationist

Narukami Island

Throughout world history, Japan has a reputation of being an isolationist country thanks to its geographical position and also its policies. Inazuma takes that quality and makes it one of its most defining features as a fictional coun♏try in Genshin Impact.

Inazuma's ports and are closed to most countries in Teyvat, similar to how Japan enacted its sakoku policy from the 1600s to the 1800s. As such, it's not a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:friendly country to the rest of Teyvat. It does seem 🐼that getting out of Inazuma is easier than getting in as there are many Inazuman refugees in Liyue.

7 It's The Ele♐ctro Nat🔥ion

Mikage Furnace Tatarasuna, Kannazuka

As for the featured or championed element in Inazuma, it's going to be Electro. Mondstadt was Anemo and Liyue was Geo. That also means that Inazuma's Archon or deity is the Electro Archon, similar to how Venti or Zhongli w♔atch over their respective nations.

Inazuma being the Electro-themed nation in the game also has some significant implications. For one, the Electro element right now is conside♊red the weakest in the game. Inazuma getting released might spell some improvements for the element or perhaps those improvements could come earlier.

6 ✤ Its Leader Is Also Its Archon

In both Liyue and Mondstadt, their Archons are separate from their governments. Liyue has its own council that doesn't necessarily answer to Rex Lapis/Zhongli while Mondstadt has a loose government system. Meanwhile, there's Inazuma where the Archon holds supreme au🥂thority.

Baal or the Electro Archon, also acts as the leader of the country on top of being its most powerful Vision user. That could well mean the dynamic between the Archon and its people is dramatically different in Inazuma whereas the Archons simply walk among the common folk in Mondstad💃t and Liyue🌸.

5 I🐷ts Governm🐽ent System Is A Dictatorship

ꦰOne of the main reasons why the Archon-to-people relationship in Inazuma might look too traditional is how the country's government is a dictatorship. The Electro Archon holds many titles in Inazuma and the second most important is being Shogun.

Baal is essentially an immortal leader of a shogunate or a military dictatorship. That's a fi✤rst in Genshin Impact as apart from Snezhnaya which might have a similar setup, the other countries appear to function like oligarchies.

4 The Whole Place Is Tense And Dangerous ♎ 🦹

Yashiori Island 2

Inazuma, thanks to its rather paranoid shogunate and dictatorship is not a happy place for a lot of its citizens. That's why many of them left. One of them, who resides in Liyue, even described the place as tense and dangerꦉous.

Many refu𝄹gees even discourage visiting the place because of its extreꦅme situation. By the looks of it, there's a lot of work cut out for the Traveler as they might have a hand in easing the tension in Inazuma or helping with some changes.

3 The Fatui 🏅Also Have Diplomatic Immunity There

scaramouche

Despite the isolationism from Inazuma🎉, the Fatui Harbingers seem to be able to freely waltz in and out of the place. It might be due to the same diplomatic immunity that applies to Mondstadt and Liyue, allowing them to meddle in other countries' affairs.

One of the Fatui Harbingers, Scaramouche is also from Inazuma and is even described as a vagrant from that count🀅ry. Hence, there's a big chance he'll be the mai💜n Fatui enemy there, just as Childe was in Liyue.

2 There Are Already Seve🥀ral Characters Involved With Inazuma

Beidou on Crux helm

Apart from Scaramouche who has been teased i💎n one event, there have also been many other characters originating from Inazuma in the current narrative of the game. One of those is Beidou though her allegiance with the country is murky as she's a pirate.

At best, Beidou seems to have a꧒ special permit to travel to Inazuma or perhaps she's just exercising her usual pirate tendencies. Another cha🍌racter is Ayaka who was part of the beta tests and will surely be introduced formally once Inazuma drops.

1 It Won't Be Around Until Update 1.6 Or Later ꦚ 💖

genshin-impact-wish

Given Genshin𝕴 Impact's update scheme, many assume that Inazuma won't be released until version 1.6. Since the game is just at 1.5, it's going to be a few months or several weeks away before they're ready to officially openℱ the gates to Inazuma.

Some speculations also point to Inazuma getting released later than update 1.6, maybe 1.7 but nothing is set in stone at the moment. For now, there's nothing left to do but wait and keep your fingers crossed that development goes smoothl𓂃y.
