The requirements for each Ascension Phase do not include the costs already paid for previous Phases. To go from Ascension Phase 1 to Ascension Phase 2, you'll need to pay 40,000 Mora; the 20,000 you paid to reach Phase 1 doesn't count toward this amount.
Where To Find Qiqi's Ascension Materials
Violetgrass
The most efficient way to gather the vast quantities of Violetgrass you'll need is to search for it in the wild. It grows on cliffsides in the Liyue region, so that's where you'll want to stay while grinding for the purple flower. Before setting out, be sure to get the Seed Dispensary from Madame Ping at Yujing Terrace. That way, you'll also be able to collect seeds to grow your own Violetgrass in your garden.
Violetgrass can also be purchased in small quantities every three days from Herbalist Gui in Liyue Harbor and from Verr Goldet at Wangshu Inn. If you don't have time to go out gathering, you can also purchase Violetgrass Seeds with Realm Currency from Tubby.
Scrolls
Scrolls are dropped by Samachurls throughout t🦂he world. Fighting Samachurls is the only way to get Sc🍸rolls, but you can use Alchemy to refine your existing scrolls into higher-tier versions.

Hoarfrost Cores
Hoarfrost Cores can only be obtained by defeating the Cryo Regisvine, a boss that lurks north of Falcon Coast in Mondstadt. Bring characters capable of dealing Pyro damage to try and bring the boss down quickly. Having at least one archer is recommended for the boss's second phase. Before engaging the Cryo Regisvine, be sure to have 40 Original Resin on hand so that you can open the Trounce Blossom it drops - otherwise, you won't be able to get the Hoarfrost Core.
Shivada Jade
The material required to Ascend all Cryo characters, Shivada Jade, is dropped by several bosses, including the Cryo Regisvine. Since you need the Hoarfrost Cores that it drops anyway, repeatedly battling the Cryo Regisvine is the most efficient way to get the Ascension Materials necessary to increase Qiqi's rank.
The quality of the Shivada Jade drops is determined by the World Level when you fight a boss that carries it. Additionally, you can use Alchemy to refine your existing Shivada Jade into higher-quality pieces. Ascension gemstones and their pieces can also be obtained by completing Commissions or purchased from Mingxing Jewelry in Liyue Harbor or With Wind Comes Glory in Mondstadt.
