Gosaku's armor may take a while to unlock in Ghost of Tsushima, but after receiving it, you'll feel like a boss taking out Mongol after Mongo🦹l. This legendary armor kept under lock and key by the farmers of Tsushima can dramatically boost Jin's health and will give him a lot more stagger damage.
Finding The Musician
Before you start your journey to get Gosaku's armor, you will need to see the musician telling the wearer's legend. You can only accept the mission once you have finished Act 1. He is to the west of Hakutaru Forest. The musician is in the middle of a small village ca⭕lled Akashima playing in front of a fire.
Once he has told Jin the epic legend of Gosaku through a beautiful sweep of animated cutscenes, he sends him off on a quest to find six keys scattered across the first area (Izuhara) and the second area (Toyotama) of the game. They are in the farmsteads 𓃲of Aoi, Iijima, Kuta, Koshimizu, Ohama, and Yagata. The game should have all of these locations marked on the map.
The Farmsteads
While repetitive in nature, these farmstead sequences are fairly easy to complete. Take down the Mongols in eac♍h farmstead either stealthily or by attacking full-on. However, we recommend trying to go stealthily as fighting can attract a huge swarm of foes that will rush both Jin and the hostages. Take out the most difficult enemies and then rush with an attack to clear these areas quickly. Be careful to not draw too much attention as the Mongols could try to take out the hostages in two different places.
The location Of Gosaku's Armor
Once you've saved the hostages, one of them will give you a key to Gosaku's armor. You cannot activate the animation until all foes in the area have been defeated. 🅰When you have received all the keys and quite a lot of legend from your heroic deeds, the quest will then turn your attention to a hill in Akashima. It is northeast of the Old Togo Rice Fields; you can't miss it!
When you arrive, yo🦹u will face a group of confused Mongols trying to figure out a way in. After striking them down, find a stone door in the middle of the hill's surface to find a secret passageway.
Once there, use yo☂ur rope to get up to a higher platform, climb on the right hand side of the rock, and traverse your way u♓p to find a chest. Open it and Gosaku's armor is yours! Jin's father would be proud.
