Ghost of Tsushima has become the third game developed in the West to receive a perfect score from popular Japanese magazine Famitsu. Ghost of Tsushima has yet to release to the public, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:being available worldwide on July 17, but review outlets were able to begin publis🧸hing reviews as early as the 14th. Currently, the PlaඣyStation 4 exclusive title developed by Sucker Punch has an 84 on Metacritic.
In addition to being only one of three games made in the West to get a perfect score from Famitsu, Ghost of Tsushima is also only the 27th game to ever get a perfect score from the outlet. The only previous two Western games to get a perfect 40/40 were The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2011 and Grand Theft Auto V in 2013. That puts a seven year gap between the last time a perfect score was given to a Western game. Famitsu reaches their total score by having four separate reviewers judge each game and give it a rating from 1-10, and then totaling those to reach a final score. Famitsu has been reviewing games since 🍬1986.
Before Ghost of Tsushima, the previous games to get perfect scores were 2019's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Death Stranding, developed by Kojima Productions, Dragon Quest XI, from Square-Enix, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from Nintendo.
Ghost of Tsushima is based heavily on Japanese history, a feudal setting, and was influenced by the works of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Akira Kurosawa films. This all makes the perfect score from the Japanese outlet even more impressive for a Western studio. While the reviews in totꦉal are more mixed in general, the game does appear to live up to ꦡthe promise of providing an authentic samurai experience.
This game marks the last of Sony's major first party titles to release before the PlayStation 5 is set to release sometime this holiday season. We're still uncertain whether or not the system will support backwards compatibility and allow us to play this version on the new system, or if a new version will be available on the PS5, but the praise given to this game would make it ꧙a shame to leave stranded on🌌 the PS4.
