There was trouble at Best Buy - and G.I. Joe was there! A posted-too-soon pre-order for a multi-platform console game titled G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout popped up briefly on Best Buy's online ღstorefront o🍸n July 27th. A month prior, the Australian Ratings Board had given up the not-so-classified intel when it posted an "M" rating on a G.I. Joe game that was flying under the radar. The Best Buy leak all but confirms that G.I. Joe fans can look forward to some Joe vs. Cobra excitement this fall.

The G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout cover art lists GameMill Entertainment as the publisher. GameMill Entertainment currently offers titles such as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2American Ninja Warrior ChallengeBig Buck Hunter Arcade...basically a host of licensed properties you will have heard of, but bargain-priced and tℱargeted toward the casual gamer. Hopefully their take on G.I. Joe will pass AAA inspection.

Savvy recondos snapped pics of the Best Buy webpage before it went back undercover. The listing included some box art for G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout on XBox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The art explodes toward the viewer, Scarlett leading the way. On her left are Duke and Roadblock, on her right are Cobra Commander and Baroness. The central focus, right under the new brushed-steel logo, are everyone's favorite ninja rivals - Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow. The character designs all appear to be modeled after the new six-inch G.I. Joe figures released by Hasbro this year, called their "Classified" series. The new sculpts have new and old fans excited - this will be the biggest refresh of the characters since the G.I. Joe: Sigma 6 experiment in eight-inch, highly stylized, anime-inspired waves released between 2005 and 2007♛ (movie versions notwithstanding).

Information on the game is sparse. Internet and youTube searches mostly repeat each other with the original source generally agreed to be . Screenshots from the game reveal a little about the aesthetic of the game, but not much else. The visual style has been called "cell-shaded" by most, but to our eyes it looks more like a comic-book filter similar to what is used in the 3D-animated Transformers: War For Cybertron trilo𝔉gy on Netflix. Either way, the choice definitely does the Joe's justice. A look that honors the source material of the 1980's G.I▨. Joe 3.75" franchise.

No official word on the rosters o꧃f characters. While the core teams on the box-art are a given, other members do appear in the game-play screenshots. Hard to be certain, but it looks like Snowjob, Destro, and Cobra B.A.T.S. will show up. And ninjas. Count on ninjas. Will there be others? We hope so. Will there be vehicle combat❀? We hope so. G.I. Joe without glorious machines carrying around fist-pumping soldiers fundamentally misunderstands G.I. Joe.

The gamer spy network says G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout will release in O♌ctober 2020. TheGamer will keep eyes and ears open for solid intel. If you see any movement on this front, send up a flare in the comments below.
