Giles Goddard worked at Nintendo for almost 20 years, learning the tools of the gaming trade from Shigeru Miyamoto on such N64 titles as Mario, Star Fox, and Wave Race. He's currently working on the spiritual successor to 1080 Snowboarding, so he's doing the internet rounds to ge💛nerate hype for his upcoming product.

That means a Reddit AMA, and in such a , Goddard revealed his openness to creating a version of 1ౠ080 for the Switch.

"If 🐲Nintendo wanted to make a Switch 1080 I would say, 'Sure, I'll do it,'" to a Redditor asking about his willingness to port 1080 Snowboarding to the switch. Or possibly remake/remaster the game for Switch--even though the Switch isn't exactly a graphics powerhouse, it's still generations better than the Nintendo 64.

Goddard is actually the creator of 1080 Snowboarding, which released way back in 1998. Perhaps the most visua🦂lly appealing N64 game when it was released, 1080 Snowboarding was easily the best snowboarding game at the ti🐲me and paved the way for other extreme sports games like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. It eventually went on to sell 1,250,000 units and developed a cult following that was somewhat let down by the GameCube sequel, 1080 Avalanche.

Goddard didn't have a hand in 1080 Avalanche. By that point, he'd left Nintendo to start his own development studio, Vitei, which helped develop various Nintendo titles like Doshin the Giant, Steel Diver, and Tank Troopers. Vitei rebranded itself as Chuhai Labs in 2020 and recently revealed 1080 Snowboarding's spiritual successor, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Carve Snowboarding, which is being developed for VR.

That said, in the same Reddit AMA, Goddard answered anotꦑher question about the possibility of bringing Carve to the Switch and PS5 eventually: ""

Carve Snowboarding is still a long way off given its lack of release date. It’ll ar𒊎rive on Oculus first, but we’ll be sure to report on any Switch of PS5 release details.
