Like the survival management game This War of Mine, Siege Survival: Gloria Victis is split between daytime and nighttime segments. During the day, you must manage resources, build structures and look after their characters. At night, select a character to head out into the occup🧸ied city in order to scavenge whatever you can.
You must look through piles of rubble and discarded containers to find and materials while avoiding enemy patrols. It’s a high-stakes scenario where one 🐻blunder can ruin a run which is why you need to be quick and cautious. As long as you manage both time and routes, you can꧑ make the most of the night.
10 ♉ Keep Flint Healthy
The game begins with two characters in a dilapidated courtyard. At first, the only active character is Flint, a wor👍ker. He has all the standard strengths of ﷽being able to perform and build at an average rate but shines brightest at night. He has an advantage to collecting which allows him to go through gathering points at a quicker rate.
He also has an additional slot in his backpack that allo𒉰ws him to carry more resources. You just n🐬eed to keep him well-rested and fed so that he doesn’t slow down.
9 ღ Leave Weapons Behind
Despite how many characters you may have back at base, you are limited to sending out only one per night. No matter which character gets picked, their backpack space needs to be maximized. Although yoဣu can choose what items characters can take on outings, they all take up precious inventory space. Since there are enemies patrolling it would make sense to take a weapon, but that’s not recommended.
Weapons are valuable and can be difficult to obtain which makes them best-suited to 𒈔supporting bastion soldiers. It’s ๊better to simply evade enemies and make use of the free slot.
8 Find Water In Barrels 🎶
In order to be the most productive d🦄uring the day, all civilians need to be kept healthy. They have several different statuses but the most vulnera꧃ble are Sleep, Hunger, and Thirst. Tired characters can be cured by letting them rest, while hunger and thirst require consumables to treat.

There are plenty of foods to find, but only water can cure thirst. Until you can build a rainwater collector, you'll need to find wate✨r in the city.
Water is most often found in gathering points that have barrels. Clean w꧒ater is safe but dirty water needs to bꦯe boiled on a campfire before drinking.
7 💮 Find Materials In Rubble
𓆉Of all the resources available, one of the rarest and most valuable is building materials. Simply referred to as “materials”, they include elements like stone, clay, and pieces of 🌜iron. They’re used in upgrading and building structures, such as a butcher’s table. However, these materials are not the easiest to find.
There’s an endless pile of rubble at the base that can be searched thr🔥ough in the hopes of finding one or two, but it’s very time-consuming. You will have the most luck finding them in piles of stones and debris arou🐻nd the city.
6 ♉ Swap Out Wood When Needed
Aside from materials, wood is also a vital production resource. It comes in three forms which include wood, firewood, and planks. The different forms are used for building, upgrading, and cra🔯fting different items. Fortunately, wood is quite common and easy to come across while scavenging.
However, wood can only be collected in ꧒piles of five and so can quickly fill up a character’s inventory. Because of this and since it doesn’t despawn, it’s more practical to swap out wood for rarer resources and come back for it later.
5 Always Takeღ A Torch And Shovel
Navigating the ci🐠ty at night isn’t as simple as reading and following the map. In addition to enemy patrols, many parts of the city have been blocked off. While some pathways are locked, others are blocked by rubble and piles of corpses. The latter is particularly dangerous as it canꦍ make characters ill. This is why characters need to be equipped with the right tools before missions.
Torches and shovels, which can both be built at an upgraded workbench, can be used to clear corpses and shovels respectively. 𝐆Although they take up an inventory slot, each one consumed upon use.
4 Take Food And Water To Save 🐈Time൩
Characters that aren’t taken care of will soon become deadweight. Both Hunge🍸r and Thirst get worse over time becoming critical when their icons turn red. It’s best to take care of this at the start of each day to prevent it from spiraling out of control. However, during assaults and bastion emergencies, it can be easy to overlook these issues.
To make things conve𒊎nient, characters can also take food and water with them during the night. They can use them while scavenging so as not to waste time during the day.
3 ✅ Memorize 𝐆Patrol Routes
Until you become familiar with the city’s layout, they shouldn’t rush into new areas.🌊 Running creates a lot of noise which can travel far and put multiple enemies on alert. Enemies are either posted in one position or patrol a designated route. Their positions are the same every time and each guard has a very clear field of v🧸ision.
This predictability can be used to your advantage. Along with a white indicator that civilians have when guards💦 get close, it’s easy to navigate without being spotted once.
2 ꦚ Give Rena The Valuables ♋
After Flint and Bertram, Rena is another civilian who can be recruited very early on. She’s located in Cheapside, during an event where she’s fighting on two enemy soldiers. After🐟 saving her, she proves to be an invaluable asset. While she suffers from limited backpack space, her strength comes from trading and ba📖rtering.
A resource called “valuables” ironically appea🌠rs to have no value until you fin🉐d a trader in the city. At this point, valuables should be hoarded and given to Rena whenever she’s sent out to trade and negotiate.
1 Run Often 🧔And Hide When Necessary
Both the day and night cycles move faster than expected so you need to make the most of ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚyour time. In the day, this is don🎀e by having as many characters as possible doing multiple jobs but the night is different.
You can only control one characterꦫ whose default movement is sneaking. This makes minimal noise but is slow and the city is very big no matter where the character spawns. Therefore, you should have characters run 𒉰whenever enemies aren’t near and hide if they’re unsure of what lies ahead.
To make the most of the base management in Siege Survival, you need resources. They’re best obtained from scaven🌄ging at night so as long as you make the most of it, you wꦆon’t find yourself coming up short.
