There was a time afterGod of War IIIwhere fans were satisfied with the possibility of not having any more games in the series, since that game seemed to close out the story well. ♔With the release of 2018’sGod of War🍸, though, renewed interest has been spa☂rked for the next game.
In this list, we’re speculating t🦩he things we might get to see with the sequel should the developers want to take a new direction or add in new features. On the other hand, there are some things that shouldn’t be taken a chance with, and we would not prefer for the next game to meddle with. With that in mind, here are five things we want to see, and five we can easily live without in the nextGod of War.
10 🍰 Want: Quick Time Events
A notable absence in 2018’sGod of Warwere the quick time events, once a staple for the series. These sequences were used best 🐓during boss fights, as Kratos would dispatch his 💞enemies during button prompts, completing the kill in memorable ways.
The next game should bring back this feature once more for boss fights, as there were definite moments in the most recent release where boss fights were a drag because no quick time events were involved. This feature always made for visually thrilling moments, and would still work with the new style of th𒐪e series.
9 Don't Want:✃ A Fixed Camera Angle ♉
The camera used to be completely fixed on Kratos in the original series, with the r♚ight analog being used to make Kratos dodge. The ♐latest game changed things up, but even then, the camera was firmly placed on Kratos’ shoulder with not much room to look around.
It would be very freeing for the player if the next gam𓄧e brings the option of using the camera to🎀 circle around the playable character. We’ve seen this work great in games like168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Uncharted, which gives added mobility d🌼uring playthroughs,♒ and one of the down points ofGod of Warhad been the relatively frustrating camera that didn’t allow for enough variety in visualsꦜ.
8 Want: Magic Carried Forward From The Previous Game🉐
It took us a whole lot of time and effort to gather all the magical abilities that Kratos and Atreus could acquire, so having all of this be stripped away would f🍌eel disheartening since everything would 🎀need to be once again regained.
There should be an option to carry forward the previous abilities either based on the saved files within a person’s PS4, or have the game already place these abilities with Kratos and Atreus for all gamers. It would be a good change 🅠for the series for the same magic to be upgraded rather than feature new magic, which would have to be learned.
7 Don't Want: Playable Flashback 💟Sequences
This is something most game series like to indulge in, as we’ve seen flashba꧙ck sequences added in to flesh out a character’s back 𓆉story. However, these are usually very limited, no matter what genre features them, so the whole thing would be needless.
Filling in the gaps in the storyline should be done exclusively from cutscenes, or carry on the practice from the most recent game where 🍎we relied on the dialogue between Kratos and Atreus. Playing flashback levels usually cause an unwelcome c𝐆hange of pace, which in turn ruins the player’s momentum.
6 🀅 Want: An Older Atreu🎶s
Since Atreus was fated to be t﷽he one to avenge Kratos, there’s definitely room to make stand out more in follow-up games. While having Atreus be exclusively the protagonist wouldn’t sit well with fans, showcasing him in exclusive moments would .
These could be in the form of flas💦h-forward sequences that parallel Kratos and Atreus’ present journey or can be reserved for the climax of the game, which jumps forward in tiꦬme and steers the series in a new direction. Either way, Atreus’ fighting style should remain distinct from Kratos.
5 Don't Want: Reduced Role For Kratos 💧
Continuing from the above point, it’s understandable if the developers would want to go all-in with Atreus in order to place him as the new lead, but that would be cutting Kratos’ role short. We’ve enjoyed seeing him168澳洲幸运5开奖网: turn from the worst into someone who could be 🏅good for a change, and there’s still a story to tell here.
Whilehas chosen to make Ellie the main character and Joel the suppo𝓰rting one, that kind of application won’t work for the nextGod of Wargame, as✃ fans here are much more attached to Krat🎀os as the lead.
4 ꦡ🌳 Want: The Truth About Faye
Kratos used to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:scare the daylights out o🅷f viewers once, but he only had loving things to say about Faye. However, the image surrounding Faye’s c🌟haracter was tarnished at the end of the game with the big twist reveal.
Here, we fouꦍnd out she had planned to marry Kratos and give birth to Atreus in order for the latter to bring down Odin and the other gods. 🐷This has led fans to believe Faye was a secret villain, but we’d like to see the full truth of her intentions by the next game.
3 ꦿ Don't Want: An Open-World ✨
This will definitely have a mixed response from fans, quite a fair few of whom enjoyed the open-world elements from the recent game. And yet, there’s no denying this worlജd was nowhere those we’ve seen in games likeor.
More than having an open-world that has very little to do, we’d rather have a much larger story mode that takes us across diverse environments. This way, the linear style of the game won’t be a hindrance, andꦺ there would be no need for anඣ open-world with so much lost potential.
2 Wan💦t: All The Other Realms
While ther꧟e were defin🎶itely locations that captured our interest inGod of War, the true “cool” locations were ཧkept unreachable. Even Jotunheim was barely there in the game, meaning most of the well-known locations in Norse mythology weren’t ventured.
Of course, our main interest lies with having the option to visit Asgard, which is sure to be an incredible location since it’s the realm where Odin resides. Along with that, having the chance to see all the realms would be the best way to cement the Norse mytholo𒉰gy that the series has dived into.
1 ꦛ 🌞 Don't Want: Any Kind Of Multiplayer Option
If there’s one thing theGod of Warseries is not built for, it’sℱ the multiplayer option. A few years back, the series tried to appeal to the online gaming mar🐎ket and brought in the multiplayer feature inGod of War Ascensionto disastrous results.
Hopefully, the developers of the game don’t give in to the growing user base for multiplayer games and add in a mode that won’t go well with the story style. Our main apprehension here is the possibility thatಌ the gameplay might suffer🍎 if the developers attempt to diversify to accommodate the multiplayer mode. It’s best to keepGod of Wara more🔜 niche experience since it’🀅s already worked for them so well in the past.
