Santa Monica's God Of War sequel/reboot surprised just about everyone when it released. Instead of a linear hack and slash title, this new entry offers a huge amount of exploration and RPG elements. The simple to learn, yet difficult to master, combat has so much depth that's not initially revealed on the surface.
Oᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚne aspect that players loved about the game was its variety of builds and customization. Kratos is now able to equip specific armor pieces, each with its own stats and bonus perks. Some of these sets can be quite the challenge to obtain, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Here are the best armor sets that will make you a god (pun intended) in the game.
Updated May 16, 2022 by Charlene Teressa: Even today, 2018's God of War continues to do justice to the God of War franchise as a whole. With its memorable, heart-wrenching storyline and exploration into the Kratos's relationship with his new son Atreus, God of War: Ragnarok is sure to be worth the wait. For now, we feel it would be remiss not to add a few more impeccable armour sets to the list.
20 Cod Of War ꦍ 🌠
Unlike all the other armour sets on this list, the Cod of War armour set is only attainable during New Game Plus. As you can tell by the names of the skills ascribed to this set, such as 'Big Splash' and 'Cry Haddock', the game developers are poking fun at cod fishes. Even from the colour and texture of this armour set, it clearly resembles a cod.
Despite the amusing names, this armour's skill set and stats are a force to be reckoned with. Cod of War grants Kratos an additional protective shield and the ability to inflict devastating icy explosions, which only grow in strength with every upgrade. So if you're finished with the game and would like to start a new journey, you should definitely try out this armour set.
