Nothing has been confirmed, but we think it's safe to say that Grand Theft Auto VI is currently in production. Grand Theft Auto is easily Rockstar's biggest cash cow, and GTA V made about ten gazillion dollars when all was said and done. 🍰It's clear that they will keep riding this f꧟inancial wave for as long as they possibly can.
We've also gone an entire console generation without a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Grand Theft Auto game (aside from the GTA V release). Suffice to say, people have been getting antsy, and the theories have begun to f🗹ly.
These are five Grand Theft Auto VI 🌊fan theories we want to be true, and five we don't.
10 Want 𒐪To Be True: VR Technology
It's certainly slow going, but the video game industry seems to be veering closer and closer towards full virtual reality integration. Massive, mainstream games like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Skyrim have been 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:given the VR treatment, and the PSVR looks to make virtual reality a more affordable and mainstream experience. It may be a big ask, but some people are asking that GTA VI be made with full VR integration. It makes sense, considering GTA V offered a first-person perspective for the first time in the serie♊s' hi🐟story. Was it a sign of things to come?
9 Don't Want To Beꦰ True: Multiple Protagonists
The whole "multiple protagonists" thing was a novel idea, but we don't want it to be become a normal Grand Theft Auto occurrence. We certainly don't have anything against it, and it worked surprisingly well in Grand Theft Auto V. However, we always liked the simpler, more straightforward "single protagonist" approach, and Red Dead Redemption 2 only solidified that opinion. When you add too many characters, you add unnecessary complexity anಌd too many things to juggle. You know what they say - K.I.S.S. - keep it simple, stupid.
8 Want To Be True: The 🦩70s
Fans have been clamoring for another period Grand Theft Auto since the days of GTA IV. Both 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:IV and V were set in present day (2008 and 2013, respectively), and while those were definitely fun, they were missing that "oomph," that sense of adventure and spectacle that the periꦯod games managed to procure.
We miss games like London, Vice City, and San Andreas that offered different time periods, and we want the series to return to those roots. And how cool would a game set in the 70s be? Maybe the🅰 scuzzy streets of 70s New York City? That coul♏d be cool.
7 Don't Wan👍t To Be True: Emphasis On Multiplayerꦬ
It's no secret that Rockstar has been coasting on the money made from Grand Theft Auto Online. The game has managed to remain surprisingly popular since its release, and it still brings in truckloads of money for the company. As such, many people have predicted that GTA VI will place an enormous emphasis on its multiplayer component. But we really hope that isn't the case. Grand Theft Auto has always been a solo experience (save for some experimental multiplayer components in older games like San Andreas), and we don't want the prosperous multiplayer to nullify that f𒆙act.
6 Want To Be True: Returning Characters 𝔉
Grand Theft Auto has a thing for returning characters, even if it's in small roles or brief throwaway lines. As such, many players expect GTA VI to contain at least a few returning characters from past games. And weꦦ're certainly not against it. Now, there's a major difference between "major character" and "brief aside or cameo," and we hope it's the latter. Leave the past in the past - but there's nothing wrong with a little peek back for nostalgia's sake.
5 🍌 Don't Want To Be True: Vice City
Speaking of leaving the past in the past, let's forget about the whole "return to Vice City" thing. Vice City is a remarkable game, and its setting is still revered as one of the finest in gaming history. Le♓t's not sully that by returning for a second go-round. Yes, it would be cool to return, but it would be even cooler to explore a new setting. There are a lot of cities in the world, many of them very interesting. Besides, we've seen Liberty City enough for ten lifetimes.
4 Want To Be Truཧe: Single Player DLC
Look, it doesn't have to be immediate - but we really want us some single player DLC. Rockstar have come under fire from some circles for never including single player DLC in Grand Theft Auto V. To them, it was just another step towards the Great Multiplayer Takeover of Grand Theft Auto.
GTA IV's single player DLC is some of the greatest in video game history, and we would love to see Rockstar returning to their past glory.🎃 We're not asking for a whole other game, here. Just a quick little five-hour romp would suffice!
3 Don't Want To Be True: Cr༺eate-A-Character
This is a personal opinion, but we've never been big fans of the whole "create your own character" thing in single player campaigns. It obviously works well for expansive online games like Grand Theft Auto Online, and it even works well for RPG games wherein your character does not speak. But for a game series like GTA so reliant on character ꦜand cinematic cutscenes, it's obvious that a "create-a-character" mechanic would not work well. We trust Rockstar to give us an✃other compelling character. They haven't failed us yet.
2 🔯 Want To Be True: A Launch Title
How cool would it be to find that Grand Theft Auto VI will be a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:launch title for the PS5 and Xbox Series X? Some people have speculated that GTA VI will be a launch title and that Rockstar is being strategically mum about the whole thing. It would make a certain kind of sense. The series skipped the eighth generation entirely, and Rockstar have had since 2013 to craft another title (the gap between IV and V was just five years). Keep your eyes p🍒eeled people, because we may just have one of the all-time greatest launch titles in the works. We hope so, anyway.
1 🔴 Don't Want To Be True: There Is No GTA VI ꦯ
We may also be facing a scary proposition - there is no GTA VI. Or, at least, Rockstar hasn't even begun working on it. We seriously doubt that this is the case, as GTA is easily Rockstar's biggest, , and most popular franchise. Nevertheless, some people believe that Rockstar is still coasting on the success of GTA Online and crafting new games with original IPs. We certainly wouldn't mind a new IP from Rockstar, as it really has been a while. But we'd also love GTA VI. Please Rockstar. Just give us a hint...
