One thing you come to expect in the GTA sequels is that, for the most part, you won't hear back from the prior protagonists. The GTA lead characters are awesome; there are no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The absent appearances are disappointing, but on the bright side, many of the secondary or side characters tend to return.

These are nice surprises and make the GTA universe feel꧑ more interconnected and alive. While newcomers will be unaffected, veterans will catch these returns and have a more satisfying story experience as🔯 a result.

Spoiler WarningUpdated on January 19, 2024, by Dominic Allen: With GTA6 coming out in 2025, it's a great time to replay all the previous titles. When playing through the series in order, you'll spot quite a lot of familiar faces that you may not have noticed previously. Many of these are small characters, but it's still cool to see. This list was quite old, so it needed an overhaul to keep it up to modern standards.

10 Johnny Klebi🐟tz

The One Done Dirty

There are a few protagonists that return, and since they're the most obvious, it's best to get them out of the way. Johnny Klebitz is the protagonist of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:GTA4: The Lost and Damned. A total badass and ruthless killing machine by the end, he was more memorable than Luis Lopez but not as go🌄od as Niko.

Unfortunately for Johnny fans, he appears in GTA5 for less than two minutes before getting killed. Between GTA4 and 5, Johnny developed a nasty drug addiction, which is Rockstar's explanation as to why he's no longer the 80s Arnold killing machine seen previously. Johnny wasn't the only character from GTA4 to meet their end in 5.

9 Claude

The OG

The first GTA protagonist of the 3D era was Claude. He's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a silent protagonist, like many at the time, but just as deadly as the quiet action heroes you see today. His first confirmed appearance was in GTA3, but he also appeared in the prequel 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:San Andreas. That game details some of the backstory between him and Catalina leading up to his Liberty Ci🅺ty debut.

One fascinating aspect about Claude is that he might be the same character as Claude Speed, the lead protagonist of GTA2. This has neverಞ been confirmed by Rockstar 💃and is just a theory. If true, Claude would be the only GTA protagonist to be the lead in more than one game.

8 ꧃ Poppy Mitchell

America's Favorite Daughter

With GTA being a parody of everything American, Poppy Mitchell is the young actress who starts innocent, but as she turns older, things get wild. It's not confirmed whether she was a child actress, but that's clearly the angle Rockstar's going for.

She first appeared in Ballad of Gay Tony in the Club Management side activity. You'll have to help her out of a jam, but she reappears in GTA5 doing more wild activities. The Strangers & Freaks missions involving her are some of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the most memorable in the game.

7 ও Al Di Napoli

An Unexpected Outcome

Another celebrity you'll need to help out of a jam in Club Management is Al Di Napoli. A combination of various big Italian actors in Hollywood, he appears again in GTA5. This time, he's involved in the Vinewood Souvenirs Trevor questline and gets the worst treatment out of anyone involved.

Eventually, Trevor captures Al, and you can either kill him by driving the car head-on into a train or let him go. Due to the fact that he doesn't appear in GTA Online and killing him is required for the gold medal, Al's certainly dead.

6 Tony P൲rince

The Life Of The Party

GTA4's second expansion, The Ballad of Gay Tony, focuses heavily on the nightlife. That's the overall theme, and the head honcho is Tony Prince himself. While not the protagonist, he's still one of the primary figures and is included in the game's name.

Tony was a no-show throughout GTA5 but returned in Online as a key figure in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:managing nightclub businesses. The concept of owning a nightclub was a distinct possibilit🔯y after the initi🦄al businesses released, and people were hoping that Tony would return if that were the case. He did, and it was great to see him again in the GTA universe.

5 🎀 Lazlow Jones

They Put A Game Developer In?

You may not🍃 realize it, but one character in each main 3D GTA entry ties all of them together. That character is Lazlow Jones. Despite not making a visual appearance, he was a radio host you could listen to in every main🐼line installment leading up to GTA5.

It isn't just the same voice but the same character. In GTA5, he finally got a physical appearance, which was nice to see. Lazlow Jones is based on and voiced by the real-life radio host and Rockstar game dev of the same name. Lazlow departed from Rockstar in 2020, so he likely won't be in any further installments besides a possible cameo.

4 💜 Marnie Allen

A Drastic Character Shift

If you've only played GTA5, going back to 4 to see this character's roots is quite bizarre. In GTA4, Marnie Allen was a random character Niko could meet. She's fallen deep into the drug hole, and you'll have to help her out. In GTA5, Marnie is out of the blue a big member of the Epsilon Program.

A scam cult primarily ran to get money from donations; her ties to this group are odd, considering where she came from. This character could h✱ave been brand new, but Rockstar plucked this small person from GTA4 to fit this role. Her journey throughout the GTA series is fascinating, at the veryꦏ least.

3 Karen Daniels 🎐

GTA's Biggest Female Agent

A big plot twist in GTA4 is that one of your girlfriends is actually an undercover agent by the name of Karen Daniels. It's a great twist many won't see coming, but her agent role is ripe for future appearances.

With how much government agencies are involved in GTA5 with the FIB and IAA, it only makes sense she returns. Not only in GTA5 but in Online as well, when doing the Humane Labs Raid. Her reappearance fits like a glove, and don't be surprised if she ends up coming back in GTA6.

2 Rocco🐽 Pelosi ༒

Delaying The Inevitable

Out of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:all the GTA villains, Rocco Pelosi 💙is a notable one. Not one of the best, but notable for sure, debuting in The Ballad of Gay Tony. By the end, he was still kicking, unlike several others, but he was just delaying the inevitable.

In GTA5, Rocco messes with Solomon's movie business, and Michael won't have any of it. After a few encounters, Michael kills Rocco, ending him for good. Many GTA4 characters got the ax in 5, but none of them deserved it more than Rocco.

1 ♊ Patrick McReary ♕

Welcome Back

An awesome returning character in the GTA series has to be Patrick McReary. He plays a big role in GTA4 as one of Niko's friends. Once the like meter's raised high enough, he can deliver car bombs, which are incredibly fun to play around with.

In GTA5, he returns, although you may not realize it at first. During a random event, Patrick and another person will hold up a store, and you can help or kill them. Helping them is the right move, as Patrick can now join you during heists. He's an excellent heist member in both GTA5 and Online, and he's one character you're just glad is back.
