Updated January 1, 2024 by Dominic Allen: With the announcement of GTA 6, hordes of players, new and old, are going back to GTA 5. It's still an amazing game, and there's so much to discover. With a map this big, how couldn't it? Considering this list was rather dated, it needed an update to add in all the vast formatting changes implemented since.

10 🐷 Prologue Alien

A Hassle-Free Egg

The hidden alien in the prologue of GTA5

While there are plenty of alien Easter eggs in GTA 5, a lot of them require 100 percent completion. This one, though, you can see at the very beginning of the game. You must pass a train once you ride in the getaway vehicle. Once there, you'll want to head right underneath the tracks.

This is where you'll find the alien. What's cool about the alien here is that it's blue, while most of the time, it's colored green. Since it's stuck under the ice, this would make sense if you know what extreme cold does to your body. It's still scary, however, and none of the other alien eggs have the same effect.

9 ꦓ Hidden UFOs

A Great Reward For 100 Percent Completion

A hidden UFO found in GTA5

Low-key, one of the biggest reasons to get 100 percent completion isn't for the achievement/trophy but because you can finally spot the three hidden UFOs. The easiest to see is the one above Sandy Shores, which you can reach with Trevor's helicopter. The coolest-looking UFO belongs to the one above Fort Zancudo.

This UFO is super high up in the air and will require 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:one of the best planes to reach it. Mount Chiliad's UFO is the hardest to see because stormy weather is required for it to spawn. Once the cursed 3am time hits, just activate a cheat code to change the weather, and you'll save yourself a headache. So much detail and effort were put into these UFOs you can't help but search them out.

8 🌃 Fake Bigfoot 🌜

Another Sweet Reward

The Bigfoot Hunter in GTA5

Hidden UFOs weren't the only Easter eggs to appear after 100 percent completion, as you'll see another Franklin Strangers & Freaks marker pop up. The mission here, called The Last One, entails your 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:encounter with Bigfoot itself.

This references the old myth about Bigfoot in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:GTA San Andreas and its great fan service. After a short while, you'll discover this isn't the real Bigfoot but a Scooby-Doo-style impostor. By itself, the mission is truly for the old-school fans of GTA, but Bigfoot Easter eggs don't stop there.

7 Real Bigfoot 💃 ꦛ

The Ultimate Easter Egg

Bigfoot in Grand Theft Auto 5

One of the few content updates to GTA 5's single-player was Director mode. You could choose to play as virtually everything in the game, including animals, which are unlocked after eating Peyote Plants. Once you've eaten them all and done The Last One side mission, Golden Peyote Plants appear.

Grand ಞTheft Auto 5: Best Che♐ats You Need To Try

For those looking to cause unbridled mischief and mayhem in the fictitiou♎s world of San Andreas, here are the 15 cheats you need to try in GTA V.

These only show up between 5:30am and 8am; the weather must be snowy or foggy. Weather cheats are essentially required here. The individual Golden Peyotes are day-specific, and eating one will transform you into Bigfoot. It's a blast playing as the creature, but a special event will occur if you eat all seven from Sunday to Saturday. This will lead to a boss fight with the Beast. Looking exactly like the lead protagonist in Teen Wolf, this egg is so well-done.

6 Barney

Everyone's Favorite Purple Dinosaur

The purple dinosaur at Rex's Diner in GTA5

The amount of detail in GTA 5's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:open world remains top-class to this day. Rex's Diner is a great example. This location is right across from an Off-Road Moto/ATV Race in southeastern Blaine County. Next to the establishment stands a big purple dinosaur eating a hot dog.

With the purple color, it's obviously a nod to Barney. What other dinosaur is known for being purple? A nice detail about the location is that one of the doors is all-purple with a dinosaur footprint. This is very reminiscent of many actual kid-friendly establishments and shows the trademark Rockstar touch.

5 Playboy M✱ansion

A Single-Player Oddity

The Playboy Mansion Grotto in GTA5

GTA 5 recreates many areas of LA, but one that serves no purpose, at least 𝓰in single-player, is the Playboy Mansion♎. Located just at the foot of Vinehood Hills to the far left is a recreation of the famous Playboy Mansion with grotto and all.

You'll find topless women here partying, further showing intent to mimic the famous location. In single-player, the area houses no collectibles and doesn't show up in any missions. It's just a cool place to visit. GTA Online, however, does use the location, and it can lead to very fun multiplayer deathmatches.

4 Master𓂃 Chief

One Of The Few Eggs Referencing Other Games

The Master Chief lookalike in GTA5

GTA has had its fair share of easter eggs mocking other games throughout the years, most infamously with True Crime: Streets of LA. For the most part, though, it's other types of media that get satirized. This makes the few game-related eggs stand out that much more.

At the location representing Grauman's Chinese Theater, you'll see a couple of space rangers wearing green suits. People who aren't super familiar with Halo will likely think it's a simple reference to Master Chief's armor. It's actually more complicated, as this suit design is from the OG Halo back in 2001. You can tell by the overtly oval shape of the helmet, which is not in the sequels. There's even a target reticle on the inside of the helmet. An awesome touch.

3 🧔 💦 Lost Hatch

Another Amazing Lost Egg To Add To The Pile

GTA5's Lost Hatch

For some reason, the TV show Lost gets put in tons of Easter eggs in games. Whether it's the hatches or the show's infamous number code, you'll see Lost quite a bit if you go Easter egg hunting. GTA 5 has another one, and it's great.

To boot, there's tap code emitting from the hatch. You'd think it's the famous number code, but it's actually Roman's iconic line asking Niko to go bowling from GTA 4. A phenomenal Easter egg all around.

2 🎉 The Mount Chiliad Mystery

Remains Unsolved

Trevor viewing the Mount Chiliad drawing in GTA5

One of the more infamous Easter eggs in GTA 5 is the Mount Chiliad Mystery. Stemming from drawings right outside the cable car station atop the mountain is a puzzle still unsolved to this day. You have a UFO at the top, wh🐓ich easily symbolizes the hidden UFO previously discussed.

The problem is the three bottom images. You have a UFO with a person inside, seemingly foretelling a controllable UFO vehicle. Then you have an egg cracking. Possibly an alien egg, but nothing shows that in the image itself. Then you have a person with a jetpack, an item not in GTA 5 but found in GTA Online and San Andrea꧂s. There are theories, but nothing has cracked this Mount Chiliad Mystery so far.

1 ⛎ Ghost Of Mount Gordo

An Easter Egg That'll Chill You To The Bone

The Ghost of Mount Gordo from GTA5

Sometimes, video games that aren't in the horror genre will turn terrifying at a moment's notice. This is especially true with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Easter eggs, and there's many spooky ones out there. The Ghost of Mount Gordo in GTA 5 may not be the scariest in a Rockstar title, but it's damn close.

For one in-game hour on any day, a female spirit will appear on the mountain, with the name Jock written in blood next to her. There's interesting lore here for fans, but another scary element is that you'll actually hear screaming if you're located at the campsite facing the ghost from down below. Out of all the Easter eggs in GTA 5, you must check this out above all else. Just make sure you don't see it before you go to bed.
