There's something in the air in Grounded, and it isn't friendly. The Crow has just flown in as part of the August Update to add yet another threat you need to worry about in the yard. If you know how to manage the dangers, however, you will find this feathery fiend may also be of some 🎉benefit to you.

In a game like Grounded, where spiders and ladybugs are major tꦗhreats to your life, the appearance of a crow is a terrifying sight. Thankfully the yard is a big place, a✃nd your small size can actually help you avoid it, but there are reasons to go seek out its resting places. Just make sure you know what you're getting in for before taking on this new adventure.

What Does The Crow Do In Grounded

At the moment, the crow doesn't seem to have much in the way of direct interaction with players. It seems to cycle between two locations on the map, and for now at least will ignore your presence. That's good because there doesn't seem to be any way to deal damage to the crow, let alone kill it. Of course that could all change in future updates, but for 🌊now rest easy that you and the crow have a tentative truce.

Where Can You Find The Crow

If you want to get an up close look at the crow, as well as collect a new resource it haꦯs for you, there are two locations it frequents most. First is the birdbath to the Southwest of the map, right by the hedges. It will ✅land here to peck and eat the berries growing there you may have gathered before, or it could do you a favor and hunt some of the bigger spiders around as a meal.

Another location the bird has been spotted is over on the picnic table, which is still outside of the explorable area of Grounded, at least for now. The crow won't stay at either location for long, but will leave its feathers there, especially around the birdbath, as a brand new material to co♍llect.

How To Get Crow Feathers And What They Do

Making the journey down to the birdbath is hard enough even without having to worry about the crow itself assaulting you, but you'll want to make the trip for its valuable feathers. It's easiest to reach through the field station near the bushes beside the Hedge Ascent Landmark. Climb up the bushes from there, walking along the branches until you come up to the birdbath itself. Again, no need to worry if the crow happens to be the﷽re. It tends to not stay put for long anyway.

From the birdbath go up the connecting branch until you hit the kind of trunk and look down. You should spot a feather you can hop down to. Collecting the fea𝄹ther requires you to have an insect ax, the second tier of axes in Grounded. Hack it up and bring it back to a field station to analyze.

Feathers do also fall🔯 around other locations, even just on the grass around the birdbath, but they s♏eem to be random. If you're not having luck, that spot above seems to be consistent.

Once you've analyzed the feather you will open up the recipes for a bunch of new items such as a simple bed, marksman's capand feather arrows.
