In a press release posted , it has been confirmed that GTA 6 will be a next-gen console only title, launching on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. This news isn't all that surprising, especially considering the Xbox One and PS4 will more than likely be over 12 years old upon the release of GTA 6. Are you feeling old yet?

What is a little more surprising is that there is no mention of whether GTA 6 will be coming to PC, so we can assume it will be skipping the platform, at least on launch. Rockstar does have a pretty strange track record releasing games on PC, with title like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 only making the jump to Steam a year or so after release. In fact, fans are still waiting for a🅘n official way to play the f🤡irst Red Dead Redemption on PC despite the recent remaster/port.
It's difficult to imagine GTA 6 never coming to PC though, especially with how much of a cash cow it's going to be for Rockstar and Take Two. Chances are we'll see the title hit PC at some point in 2026, once it's already released on consoles for a little while, though that still must be pretty frustrating for those of you that have PCs as your primary gaming platform. Still, it's better than nothing.
GTA fans waited this long for a trailer, so I'm sure they can wait a little bit longer for a PC release. Not all fans seem to have that much patience though, given that Rockstar was forced to upload the trailer to YouTube early after someone leaked the entire thing on Twitter.
