We yet again are seeing another lawsuit against developers who have tried to recreate games. This time, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, is suing a team of developers who have reverse-engineered the source code from Grand Theft Auto 3 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Vice City. Aside from the reversed code, these developers have also created ports of these games to the Switch, Wii U, and Vita.

According to the for the lawsuit—as pointed ou🌄t by —Take-Two Interactive𝐆 wants to “halt the activities of a group of individuals who have sought unlawfully to copy, adapt, and distribute to the public infringing source code for two classic GTA titles... without the authorisation or consent of Take-Two.”

Take-Two Interactive has claimed that these developers have caused “irreparable harm” to the company through their recreation and distribution ꦆof these games. However, this reverse-engineer project reportedly does not use any leaked source or copyrighted assets belonging to Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive, though it does add new features to existing games and includes some bug fixes.
