There♔ isn’t a complex leveling system in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which makes upgrading Star-Lord’s perks a bit easier. Throughout the game, you’ll find basic and advanced components to use on workbenches to unlock new perks. Workbenches are found throughout most levels, but there’s also one stationed 🌟on the Milano. Of all the available perks, these are the best ones that you should look to unlock as soon as possible.

13 ✱ Tactical Scan ꩲ
Throughout the game, there will be moments where Star-Lord will have to use his Visor ♉to scan the surrounding area to find a way to progress forward. The Visor scan is not only a helpful tool in simply learning more about various objects, but it also comes in handy during battle.
By unlocking Tactic✅al Scan, Star-Lord can scan enemies and find out their main weaknesses in battle. When you scan an enemy time will slow, so you don’t have to worry about possibly getting blindsided by someone else. Tactical Scan can be useful, though it’s not as important as other perks because you can see what elements enemies are weak to on the left side of their🔯 health bar.
12 ღ Low Life Buff
Fighting in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy can be pretty hectic with tons of enemies shooting from all directions.💯 You’ll encounter enemies sniping from a distance, firing assault rifles upfront, and also enemies who want to beat the crap out of you with their bare hands.
If you utilize Star-Lord’s dodging, you’ll be in good ❀shape regarding preserving your health, but some battles might be a bit overwhelming. Low Life Buff doubles Star-Lord’s firing rate when his He🐟alth drops below 25 percent, making this a rather useful perk if enemy forces are getting the better of you.
11 Air Glide
A slightly de-powered version of Star-Lord’s Vantage Point ability, Air Glide allows the leader of the guardians to hover momentarily. While ꦺthis perk may not seem important, it does possess considerable defensive benefits. If you’re overrun by many groups of enemies, Star-Lord can activate Air Glide and quickly fly away to safety.
When comparing Air Glide to the other perks available to upgrade via the Workbench, it’s not necessarily high on the priority list. But by only costing 400 regular components to unlock, it’s a perk that should be unlocked at some point in the game because of how cost-efficient it is. Although Air Glide is meant to be ﷽utilized defensively, the perk does have offensive capabilities, as well. By hovering in the air, Star-Lord can easily locate enemies around him and take them down from afar.
10 🧸 Super Quill Punch 💙
One of Star-Lord’s signature moves is 🏅utilizing the boosters on his boots to inflict pain. By tapping the left stick forward twice on the controller, Star-Lord uses his Jet Boot Dash to qui🐼ckly boost in a given direction. By unlocking the Super Quill Punch, Star-Lord will land a lethal blow after boosting forward, which will drop additional Health pick-ups for the team.
This perk is exceptionally useful if you feel like you’r♔e losing health quickly and n🤡eed that extra boost to recharge yourself and the other guardians. Super Quill Punch is a bit of an investment though, costing 600 regular components and 100 advanced components.
9 💫 Charged Shot
Other than the😼 standard health bar, enemies can also become staggered, which will leave them open to a powerful attack from Star-Lord. Charged Shot allows the guardian to charge his blasters to inflict both physical and stagger damage to an ene🎃my, which will increase the stagger bar to induce his special attack.
When facing off against multiple enemies, using the Charged Shot might be a bit anti-productive because you’re reducing your overall fire rate. But when fighting against the giant robots that the Church of Truth uses, this technique will definitely come in handy. Enemies that have💫 multiple health bars can be quickly defeated by focusing on staggering them and performing the more powerful special attack.
8 ꦅExtra Shield ℱ
Unless you’re playing on a higher difficulty, it’s extremely rare for S♉tar-Lord to fall in battle. But𝄹 to further prevent that from happening, make sure to unlock Extra Shield from the workbench.
Extra Shield will increase Star-Lord’s total shield points by 50 pe♓rcenඣt, making the guardian pretty hard to take down. We recommend focusing on adding the extra shield as early in the game as possible, so you don’t have to worry as much about possibly dying in battle.
Adding 50 percent extra shield can be the difference maker between surviving an onslaught of converted Church of Truth enemies or succumbing to them. Star-Lord is already more than capable of staying alive through most skirmishes, but it doesn't hurt to add that extra layer of protection with the Extra Shields perk.
7 ꦛ ꩲ Extra Health
Similar to Extra Shield, Extra Health increases Star-Lord’s total health points by 25 percent. It might not be as much as the 50 percent increase as the added shields, but the added health will be hig𒈔hly beneficial in keeping Peter Quill alive in battle.
In most battles, Star-Lord’s mobility makes it fairly easy to avoid attacks if he’s in danger of dying. And with his long-range b෴lasters, you can even hang around the outskirts and fire from a safe distance, while also utilizing the other guardians’ abilities and scooping up health packs from afar.
6 Shield Restor🀅ation Delay ♉
Unlike his health bar, Star-Lord doesn’t need to find shield pac🐻ks in a battle to restore any lost shields. By simply standing off to the s😼ide and avoiding damage, his shields will automatically recharge. Unlocking Shield Restoration Delay will speed up the overall process in how fast his shields will regenerate in combat.
In most cases, Star-Lord won’t be in danger of falling in battle, but sometimes things 🌃can get a bit intense. Having Shield Restoration Delay unlocked from the early goings can further help prevent him from dying, especially withꩵ knowing when to back off from ensuing enemies.
5 �ꦫ�Components Localizer
Given that all these perks require components to unlock, wouldn’t it be nice t✱o have a perk that would help locate components? For the high price of 600 regular components and 100 advanced components, you can have such an ability in Components Localizer. By using tracking feedback and Star-Lord&𝓡rsquo;s visor, you can easily locate more crafting components.
This perk may not be worth it in the late game, but if you invest in Components Localizer early on then it will make unlocking other perks throughout the game a lot easier. It’s certainly not a flashy perk, but it's one that can quickly make Star-Lord very powerful by speeding up the process of unlocking various perks, making Components Localizer a sneaky good perk in Guardians of the Galaxy.
4 🎃 Shield Restoration S𒆙peed
When🔜 compared to Shield Restoration Delay, it would seem like these two perks are the same with slightly varying names. Think of🤡 Shield Restoration Speed as an added layer for Star-Lord’s ability to regain his shields during combat.
Shield Restoration Speed will increase his shield regeneration by 33 percent per second. So, if you find yourself under heavy pressure, try to utilize Star-Lord’s impeccable dodging and the other guardians’ abilities to diver🐼t the enemy’s attention and fire, while he’s able to safe♏ly regain his lost shields.
